In my year of studying, I had not read such a clear description of this process. It must be frustrating for the elders on ThisisMS to have to continually answer newbie questions. I appreciate your time and patience and repetition.
The real irony in all of this is that my husband is actually OK with his diagnosis, and is dealing with it. He's probably had MS for years, has had sleep, spasm and depression issues for all the time I've known him. It was the days in the hot tub spa last March that brought about his terrible flare, and lead to his official diagnosis. He truly had the "in hot water" diagnosis.
I think I need t take a break from worrying and obsessing about his illness. It's apparent to me that this is one thing I'm not going to be able to "fix." (Along with global warming, war, famine and the nation's deficit )
I'm going to try and wean myself from this pursuit...and only post if I have something new to share.
all the best,

A C, your dedication to your husband and trying to "fix" him is extremely heartwarming and admirable. My boyfriend would rather not know all the scary things MS can include and I can't say that I blame him. Sometimes I wish I didn't know either.
What you said is true though. You do have to ween yourself from your obsession and just go back to living your life with you husband. It's okay to read up on stuff but worrying all the time doesn't change anything-believe me if it did I would be cured! I try to concentrate on the good things in life and deal with problems when they arise. It helps keep me sane.
