Hi All,
In doing some Internet research focusing on the MS/Sinusitis connection, I stumbled on some web articles about Serrapeptase. Like all things at this point, I am always initially skeptical. Does anyone have more info about this?
Thanks,
Lars

Hi Lars,
I know that we've discussed serrapeptase before on the forums. If you do a search you should find some of those posts. Here's one such post from a search http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-3346.html but there are other threads you might want to read as well.

I took quite high doses of serrapeptase which initially seemed to produce bad night spasms but which have now disappeared. I think this enzyme certainly has an effect but it might be rather offputting at first. I now take much lower doses (just over recommended amount) and I haven't noticed any new deteriorations on it.

Hey Lars-
was looking into serrapeptase for my son, who has chronic sinus congestion. We had him tested for all allergens; food, animals, trees, and he has no allergies. His doc mentioned a neti pot and serrapeptase. Searched the forums and found this thread. I also came upon info regarding its anti-inflammatory properties. Have ordered some enteric coated tablets for my guys. Will report on observations.
hope you're well...

Jeff's been taking serrapeptase the last week....he's breathing much better at night. Actually breathing thru his nose (!) and not coughing. He's taking this at night with his baclofen and magnesium.

He hasn't noticed a reduction in pain, but the opening up of his sinuses is reason enough to keep taking this supplement. My snoring son is away at camp, but when he gets home, I'll see if it opens up his congested airways, as well.
