Jamie I am by no means adverse to Revimmune therapy. I also appreciate that 5 years is not tomorrow. But I think picturing our future as either Revimmune or slow torture is a little bleak no? I do believe just recently there are a lot of very positive things happening in the ms world including Revimmune.

what are MRTC's?
Hi 777,
I find that too interesting a question to let it get passed over.
First, the standard MS disclaimer regarding nothing being certain when it comes to MS.
MRTC's are "myelin reactive T cells", a more specific term for "self reactive T cells" and is a/the aspect of MS which makes it (or not) an "autoimmune" disease. Your own immune system attacking "self", in the case of MS, myelin. In RA, a specific aspect in the joints, Crohns and Ulcerative Colitis the intestinal mucosa, Grave's and Hashimoto's, thyroid cells and on and on. All the autoimmunes involve an aspect of "self" that the immune system attacks.
Recently it seems to have become medically accepted that everyone produces mrtc's (and probably the "self reactives" for the other autoimmunes) and one of the differences between someone with and without MS is that the systems of the people without MS "appropriately" limits (thereby the use of Copaxone as part of the Revimmune process in the hope of "training" the naive immune system) the numbers of those MRTC's.
