Do you have Medicaid and take Rebif? How much is your co-pay? I got a call from MS lifelines today and there had been a bit of a mix up, stating the wrong insurance (I go to Dr.s through the University here, but there is also insurance for their employees of course) and had a co-pay of $50 a month. Well, right now I have NOTHING. Trying to get a job but no luck so far since I can't do my former work and I'm not qualified for anything else.
Anyway, what is the co-pay if you have Medicaid? Thanks _________________ Kim dx RRMS 10 April 08
My co-pay is $3.00. The cost for the Rebif is $1,943.85 How does anyone afford this stuff? When I finish school and get a "decent" job (meaning $12 an hour or more), even with insurance there is no way I could afford this...

Hey ShootingStar,
I don't use Medicaid but I do use Rebif. The $3.00 copay is pretty standard I think for most medications covered by Medicaid. Yea, north of 1,900 a month is expensive and I don't know how anyone without insurace can afford it. I am covered by insurance through my employer and my copay for Rebif is $60.
Just about what a tank of gas cost around here now.
MS Lifelines has many patient assistance programs for anyone having payment difficulties due to copays or lack of insurance. Just call them!! For new people starting on Rebif, you are gauranteed a copay of no more than $50 a month and if you have no insurance- its free for a year. No applications or income verification. No matter what your situation, just call them.
