The main thrust of the med is to reduce lesion loan. Lesion load has been shown to have no bearing on progression of the disease or symptoms of the disease, so I am not sure what will be gained with this med.

"Lesion load has been shown to have no bearing on progression of the disease or symptoms of the disease"

Is this really the case? I do not understand how having less lesions would not be a very good thing? Are not lessions the disease at work? I understand how lesions and symptoms might not be directly related, but I would think many lesions would not be good.

Dave, GWA is spot on about the lesion load! In fact, I begin to question the neurological connection at the onset of this disease at all. My first MRIs, EMG testing, and Evoked Potentials were all normal when my MS symptoms first began; it was months later that the MRI showed anything.

We must always remember the "individuality" aspect--my MS may not be like anyone else's.
