Crap!!! my post didn't go through.
I remember my Dr. saying that i was missing the oligoclonal IgG bands, when he did my spinal puncture. I am also curious about some of the other chronic inflammatory demyelinating diseases.

I have not finished reading it yet and already have questioned my DX about 3-4 times.

Thanks Bob!!!! it really is a good read.

Oh gosh Artie, I didn't mean to cause you to question your dx. Instead, I think the article is intended to give someone reason to question what exactly the relationship of T and B cells are in MS.

I don't know, but I think seeming successes with Rituxan should at least make us question the standard view of B cells only being the instigator and T cells being the driving force behind the damage caused by MS.

For better or worse, my wife has yet to have a spinal tap done and has been diagnosed by one neuro and had that diagnosis confirmed by two other independent neuros.

Bob

You finally get the cookies Bob! I think when I get to the point (hopefully if) where I can't work, I'm renting the first two seasons of "Weeds" and taking notes. With the economy doing what it's doing, people will need an escape damnit!

Bob I totally get where you were going w/ the info. I have often questioned my Dx, maybe it is just my wishful thinking. There is still alot of unknown with b-cell therapy and I'm living proof that there is benefit from it. Thanks again for the info.

Lew, I am currently doing my own personal trial. Hehehe We'll see how well it goes. I would take notes and post them, but I may not be able to find my computer afterwards, LOL

Weeds was one of my favorite shows, along w/ Sopranos. I wish they had continued Sopranos, but I guess James Gandolfini wanted to much money. I missed alot of "weeds", I'll do better in the future!! Cool

Oh and Bob, if you love your wife, at all costs only have her do a spinal tap only as a last resort. They hurt pretty bad. I will not have another.

That one drew a big smile Artie!

Nah, she's not intentionally soliciting that procedure and in fact I think a person could very handily go through their entire life without one.

I appreciate the explanation and as long as we've got about 8 states separating us from the big lagoon, I highly promote calling him a pussy!

Ha, I'm not going to lie. I'm glad that Neurologists in Michigan don't seem to require lumbar punctures to diagnose MS. I not only can't imagine enduring it myself, I'm glad my wife didn't have to.
