I got the results back from my 3 month follow-up MRI.
NO NEW LESIONS!!
NO ENHANCING LESIONS!!
And the report said "SLIGHT" improvement on previous lesions!!
I don't have the report in front of me (left it in friend's car)....but it wasn't bad news.
No lesions whatsoever on cervical or thoracic spine (had had C-spine MRI once...but never T spine).
I'm quite happy - as my last MRI had 2 new lesions...
Appt with my local neuro was very positive. Even though I'm having some issues (could be heat, illness, etc.)....the exam was amazingly different than my previous exams!! Even the neuro commented on a positive note (and I don't think he is capable of emotion), so this was huge.
Had a NEGATIVE Romberg test for the first time since dx in January!! I can't believe it!!!

Bob,
My first MRI was January 4, 2008 - it was when I first became symptomatic - and that is what led to my diagnosis. My 2nd MRI was May 1, 2008 (I was a month late for getting what was supposed to be a 3 month follow-up). So this was my third MRI....
So, the second MRI was May 1....that was 1 month before I met the docs at Hopkins and 2 months before the actual HiCy treatment.
The second MRI had shown that one of the larger lesions (over 1 cm in size) had shrunk a little; however, there were two new lesions at this time. I don't know how many lesions, in total, that I have - as no doctor or radiologist would give me a number, other than to say TOO MANY to count. So, I dunno.
I can't say that I jumped up and down when I read this third report - though I don't know what I expected....because the results ARE positive and good - no new lesions, none enhancing - and it even says SLIGHT improvement! This is a win in my book!!

Keri,
Happy, happy thoughts from Colorado. I'm glad to hear things are working out. We'll have to chat sometime about all of this. In the meantime give my Sis a hug for me.
Peace,
Lars
