Diagnosed March 5, 08. After a course of aggressive steroids by IV for 6 days, and then a month of oral steroids to tapper off, feeling better now than I had been for years. I'm 31 years of age, and moved to New Brunswick (originally from Ontario) at 19 for University. Decided to stay here, I love the Maritimes!

I have a long, involved story about what it took without a family doctor to get my dx, but I'll save it, as I am sure it's not unfamiliar to any who have suffered for so long without answers. The toughest part was losing my long term boyfriend before I was diagnosed (I can't really blame him, I was a mess without answers) and feeling alone in my struggles (my parents are still in Ontario).

Hoping to possibly meet others around my age in my area just so we can share stories/support. I know where I live, the incidents of MS are quite high.

I look forward to reading and catching up with the hundreds of threads on this forum Smile

Thanks Smile

I take it back... the toughest part wasn't the bf or distance from family. It was the 'waiting' and being so ill, I didn't know what I had wrong with me. The stress from that alone nearly did me in.

Hi Nenu, I am a Nova Scotian in Ontario.
I'd love to find my way back East though.

Welcome!

LOL, did you move for school or with family? Or other reasons?

I moved out east to go to Mount Allison, where I got my Bachelor's and I just ended up staying here.
