I've been on these trials for a month now and I thought others might want to know about it. You can find information about the 'product' on this site- just type Caprivax into the search section.
Don't ask how I got to hear about it - friend of a friend type of thing.
Anyway from my home in Sheffield (UK), we - my partner Lorraine and I -have had to travel the 500 mile round trip to Kent for the first few injections (once a week). Last week the doctor gave me three weeks supply so I could self medicate.
On our first visit we met a number of MS sufferers, most of whom reported significant improvements in their conditions including one woman who was 'chair bound' before beginning the treatment. The organisation involved also produce a DVD featuring up to twenty people whose lives have been turned around by this new wonder treatment.
I would like to report changes in my condition but nothing as yet. Early days? We shall see. [/quote]

I have just been accepted onto a separate trial for the drug company alongside the official clinical trial (no placebos ).
Aikika, did you have to go to Chislehurst in Kent? If so, our paths may cross in the future. My first appointment is at St George's in Tooting in about three weeks' time.
As Caprivax serum is made from goat's blood, there are quite a few jokes being made at the moment about me having to watch that I don't start to eat the carpets and wallpaper, etc. You can imagine

Hi Anne
Yes to Chistlehurst, but somehow I've bypassed Tooting.
My next appointment is on Friday 19th March at midday.
At the moment I feel a little reluctant to discuss all the whys and wherefores as Daval seem to want to keep all of this under wraps. Something to do with patents and intellectual property. I was told at one point that I would have to sign some sort of disclaimer, but it never happened.
As for the goat thing, my friends are keeping a watch on my chin and wouldn't be at all surprised if the horns (which they've always suspected) started to show.
Good luck to you

Thank you so much for your post! Living in the states, as I do, the only info I can get is doing a search on here .
I am a support group leader through MSAA, and this was the subject of our last meeting...it sounds promising enough, and I have an excitement about it, that I haven't had in a long time! However, I am VERY cautiously watching (or trying to, anyway, lol) this trial to see what happens.
I can't thank you enough for posting this,it's fantastic!! Can you tell me if this is an intra-muscular injection or just sub-q?? I'm guessing it's intra-muscular, for it to be given only once a week...
Again, thank you so much for this info . I hope you soon see a difference in your MS

Ann,
CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm very happy for you! I noticed another post here, also, and I thank you all for the info....since I live in the states, we don't have a lot of info on this , but with ppl as yourself, and others, maybe that can change-at least on this board, anyway .
I wish you great results, and keep us posted! Also...I would like to say a big THANK YOU!!! to all who are participating in this-if not for you and others, where would we be regarding meds??

Hi Finn
Thanks for the info, but I'm soooo confused now ...does this mean that we will no longer have "Caprivax" but WILL HAVE "Aimspro"?? Do you know the date of the article you posted??
I looked on another site(and I don't remember what it was ), and found that veterinarians have been using this for some time, as a vaccine for goats!
Anyway, thanks for the site, and any info you, or anyone else can give me on this will be greatly appreciated, as I don't seem to find out much about it in the states .
Looking forward to hearing from you-be well, and thanks again! _________________ Every journey begins with a single step...Diane
