It's been a while since I've been here! I kept pretty busy this Summer working 50 - 60 hr/wk. It was not hard work but the hours got to be a bit long some days. We replaced a RR bridge and my job was to protect the work crews from passing trains - not too tough as I haven't lost anyone yet. I only have two weeks left and then it's vacation for the rest of the year. I have for the most part felt pretty good with only a few minor annoyances that remind me that I have MS. Heat is still a big problem but last Summer was one of the coolest on record. I'd laugh to myself when normal people would complain about our weather and I would think this Summer was made for me. My endurance level has dropped and standing in one place is much worse than walking and I experience some cramping in my hands and legs by the end of a hard day. All pretty tame compared to last year when I went down big time and was dx ms. I go back for an MRI on Dec 15 and a visit to my neuro. Should be interesting to see how that turns out since I haven't been on any meds. |
