Hmmm, My diet has pretty much been I eat what I want when I want most of my life. In the Navy, k rations etc were pretty non existent. As much as I hate to say it, we always had decent hot cooked meals. Maybe that milk we picked up overseas in the boxes like the juice boxes of today might have been ...

Outlawbiker, My father fought in WW2 so was in the army for years and years before I was conceived! Like Minai I happen to think that MS is not an autoimmune disease, but is caused by an infection, chlamydia pneumoniae, which most people will come across but will only affect people genetically pred...

Re: Plenty for inference

Hi vets. Thanks from me also for your military service. You will be interested in what this scientist has to say about military vaccinations: http://autismmedia.org/haley1aw.html . The continuation of his talk is also worth listening to, as it is packed with inferential information. See http://auti...

Belated .

Thanks for the kind words and great information shared by Lyon and Minai. Felt great to see in writing things I've suspected, felt, and learned over my dealings with DoD, the VBA, and MS! Splitting hairs is the name of the game with gov't to avoid massive losses of $$ (at least until "their&quo...

Um....

No argument, just like you said, You came across differently. Glad you so eloquently clarified what you meant. From what I've been able to learn (through Paralyzed Veterans of America) is that a congressman at one point in time had a child (can't remember if it was son or daughter) who was diagnosed...

I Served in the Gulf '87-'88

Before there was oil fires etc. We did receive however additional "vaccinations" prior to deployment out of San Diego with a few more along the way. We also took anti malaria meds before a 10 day stop in Kenya. As far as MRE's and Sea Rat's are concerned, not ruling out possibilities there...

IFN-ß users protected from West Nile Virus?

I had always wondered if folks exposed to WNV (symptomatic or not) developed immunity from it and no longer risked future illness from mosquito bites later on. After reading into this study I discovered that the natural response to infection of the flavivirus is the natural expression of IFN-B to di...

Oh my aching ...

lesions! I was under the impression that once the lesions had developed (whether enhancing or not with contrast) that a permanent scar was left. I've had them in the 2-3 dozen as far as count goes with none of them appearing "active" as when Gadolinium is used for contrast. My last MRI in ...

Statin Dosages

Who or what dictates that a certain dosage of a particular statin drug is required to be effective? Before my Dx of MS in 2000 I had been taking Zocor for a 327 cholesterol level (Thank Ben&Jerry's Ice cream for that! Yummy!) but found that my liver couldn't tolerate it. Was switched to Lipitor ...
