Re: This method put Mary's probable MS into remission in 4

I dont want to get banned, so i will choose my words carefully: anyone with even a basic understanding of human physiology would immediately know that a hand position would have absolutely zero effect on a complex auto immune disease. I know that this forum is an open discussion group of sorts, but ...

Re: How I got my autoimmune disease

That method was the most idiotic thing ever written on this website, which is saying something. If i remember correctly it involved lying in the foetal position or something. You have no idea what you are talking about. You should stop posting nonsense as there could be someone actually reading this...

Re: help .primary progressive multiplescelrosis

There is one answer for you, it's not CCSVI, it's called HSCT. Hematopoetic stem cell transplant. It's a chemo and stem cell transplant procedure and it's your best bet. It's in phase 3 trials in the US and has been rigorously tested so far. It has a 65% ish success rate in progressive MS. That migh...

Project Charcot - new trial

Hi, is anyone else following St. Barts upcoming trial for their Epstein Barr Virus drug? Here is a link: http://multiple-sclerosis-research.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/research-day-talk-charcot-project.html The upshot is that EBV which is part of our DNA is somehow switched on and that activation is what...

Re: Helminths

MrBarlow: that's very interesting, although obviously not clinically verifiable data on whether they are the things causing the stability of your condition, but it looks good.

I think there is a study in the UK about hookworms, does anyone know how that's going?

Helminths

Hi all, is there anyone out there who is on hookworms or whipworms either as part of a trial or on their own, who could give an update of how they are doing on them? Have they slowed the progression? How many do you have in you? Etc...?

I'm really interested in this treatment!!

xpsychiatricmd, it's so interesting to read about the beginnings of your Tcelna trial experiences. Please keep posting updates, a lot of us are excited about these kinds of novel therapies, so keep the updates coming thick and fast! Are you seeing a change in symptoms?

Re: Got it done - Dr. Slavin's Protocol

Actually Gogo, the data that has been pulled together is strongly in favour of it being successful even if you are SPMS or PPMS, about 60% chance of your disease going into remission if you have progressive ms. I'd take those chances. I want to hear more about this new MSC treatment that Slavin is w...

Re: Got it done - Dr. Slavin's Protocol

hey ariehs, good to see you posting again, but sorry to hear that the MSC's didn't work for longer... I think that pretty much everyone who frequents the stem cell threads here are looking into HSCT as a way to permanently stop their ms. Is this something you are looking into too and is that why you...

Re: Could I have Multiple Sclerosis?

Hi there, sorry to hear of all your medical problems. It must be very hard to deal with that with a two year old on the loose. Your symptoms definitely sound like something neurological is going on, whether that's ms or any of the dozen other major neurological conditions out there, it's impossible ...

Re: Could this finally be the cure?

It has a similar methodology, but has totally different things that they are injecting. Besides, Tovaxin, based on what I've read, was unlucky in its trial setup, rather than it not being efficacious. From the people who have had tovaxin on this site, many said it was the best thing they had had.

Could this finally be the cure?

Has anyone else seen this? Could this be the final cure for RRMS?

Just one infusion of autologous mononuclear cells and myelin peptides, seems to cut relapses to ZERO.

Re: I might have MS? (mri pics included!)

Also, if you have had your symptoms for 9 years, that would be a very slow growing tumor, it is likely that it would have presented with more significant symptoms by now like a seizure or something... I hope this helps
