Re: Anyone considering a port for infusions?

I am. I have an appointment on January 7th to have one put in. I have been having a really hard time with my infusions the past 6 months at least, possibly longer. I have been on tysabri for over 2 years and my veins were small and roly poly to begin with. I am super nervous about having this thing ...

Hip Turning Out?

Hi there, I just had a very weird experience today and am wondering if anyone else has had this. I was walking with my husband and daughter doing some shopping (I walk with a cane, my left leg has A LOT of nerve pain) and all of a sudden I got what felt like a lot of nerve pain in my right hip, then...

Going Off Of Rebif... Withdrawal?

Hi guys, I am going off of Rebif and I have been off it for about a week and a half now. I'm switching onto Tysabri because my MS was too active for the Ribif to keep up. My question is, is there a withdrawal? I've been getting headaches everyday since about 3 days after I stopped it and today I hav...

Re: Raw/Burned Feeling Skin?

Yes I have had those tests and made adjustments... this isn't a burning sensation... this is as if I've already been burned. Like when you burn yourself on the oven only in larger patches.... raw and very sensitive.

Raw/Burned Feeling Skin?

Hi everyone, Lately I have been having "episodes" of pain in my skin (right now on my hip, have had in in my wrist and leg as well) that feels like I've been severely burned. It is super sensitive with just clothes on it and it hurts so much to have anything touching or moving it. Then... ...

Re: Bladder issues?

It went well... or as well as can be inspected. It turns out I have a bladder infection (I don't feel the pain from them anymore due to the MS numbing the nerves that make it burn/hurt) but he's not sure wether a bladder infection would cause such extreme loss of control. So basically the plan is, d...

Re: Bladder issues?

Thank you both for your support... I have a family doctor appointment on Tuesday for a previous issue, I think I'll bring up my little incident while I'm there. Never hurts to ask. My Mom informs me that this is normal and could just be that my body had not woken up before I got out of bed thus caus...

Bladder issues?

Hi all, I'm a little concerned. I have never had bladder issues (except when I was pregnant of course). But last night, while I was sleeping, I peed the bed. I'm 23, how embarrassing. The really concerning thing is when I realised it and stood up to change, it was still coming out, there was nothing...

Coldness?

The past few days, I have been having bouts of coldness that come out of nowhere and no matter how many layers of clothes and blankets I pile on I am still freezing cold. So cold that it actually makes it so I can't sleep. I'm wondering, does anyone else get this problem? I'd think it was a side eff...

Re: Anyone with GOOD Experiences on Rebif??

Maledicte, I totally get where you're coming from. I too tend to HATE MS. Often I find that it is a personal battle. No matter how much people may want to help or how much we want them to help, often its something only you can do for yourself. I hate it alot... sometimes I even hate myself for not b...

Re: Anyone with GOOD Experiences on Rebif??

I hadn't even though about it but my hands shake too... that would also be problematic with manual injections.

Re: Anyone with GOOD Experiences on Rebif??

I appreciate everyone's support... but as I said please STOP telling me to not use the Rebiject anymore. I don't have problems with it... I do not find it to be too brutal, it barely bruises me and I don't have to see the needle and can do it without any help. I'm sure that like anything it depends ...

Re: Anyone with GOOD Experiences on Rebif??

I'm the same way NHE. I have side effects for everything but my side effects with Rebif are fairly mild. I agree that the shots hurt ALOT. I use the Rebiject (please don't tell me to throw it out and do syringes, I don't find it bruises me alot and my husband and I are both way to squeamish to do th...

Emotionally Dealing with Rebif

Hi, So I have been on the Rebif for about 4 months now... side effect wise it seems to be going well. Usually I get a headache the next morning which goes away with a couple Advil, and occassionally a slight fever in the afternoon. Definitely workable, not as unpleasant as to be honest I was expecti...

Hello...

Hi all, I am very happy to see a forum for parents who have MS. I am 22 years old, and I have a daughter, Jayna, who will be 2 in December. She is my main concern in all of this, I fear that her life may not be as full as it could have been had I not had MS. I had her in 2009 and I was diagnosed thi...
