I have found over the years that what NHE mentions also works for me. I inject on Wednesday mornings (don't want to ruin a perfectly good weekend) and take ibuprofen every 4 hours. If I do this, I feel fine throughout the day and my sleep pattern is normal. I then take two ibuprofen the next morning...

I was dx'd with MS in Oct 04. I recently had LASIK done on both eyes (February). I still have a little bit of haloing in my right eye when watching movies in the dark. Other than that, I am very pleased with the results. It is nice not to have to worry about falling asleep with my contacts in, or ha...

Just my $0.02
Hi Brock, Sorry to hear about your struggles. When I was diagnosed, I was pretty much numb from my chest down. I was put on a prednisone taper that helped, but didn't seem to get things completely calmed down. When the numbness started creeping up my legs again a few weeks later, my neuro put me on ...

The company has no snake oil to sell you and unless one of your friends runs a biotech fund, no one reading this post could possibly invest in the company. I wouldn't agree with this statement. I bought 800 shares through my online trading account a few months ago. Hopefully it won't be a total was...

Interferon Beta 1a
Okay, I have a stupid question... If Avonex and Rebif are the same drug (interferon beta 1a) and the difference is the way it is injected (IM vs. SC), then why couldn't someone buy a months supply of Rebif (which is approximately the same price as Avonex) and simply inject 2/3 of the 44mcg dose IM? ...

Hi bebe, Thanks for the info and clarification. You are correct in the fact that Rebif had a lower occurance of flu like symtoms than Avonex. As far as the severity of the symptoms, I'll have to take your word on that. Other considerations that were taken into account that I didn't mention before we...

Hi MK, I was just recently (2 weeks) switched from copaxone by my neuro. I stated my concern about the 3 times-a-week flu like symptoms with Rebif. Because of my concerns, he suggested Avonex. I wasn't real keen on that either, mainly because of the needle length and the fact that Avonex doesn't hav...

Site Reactions
Hi Brian, I am currently on Copaxone. I use the autoinjection to do the shots as I am a big whimp when it comes to needles. The nurse who showed me how to use the autoinjector told me to set the needle depth to 6mm. I kept it set to this depth for all injection sites. With this depth, I had all kind...

Hi Sarah, Thanks for all the time you spend to put out the info on your antibiotic regimen. I have a few questions that I hope you or someone else reading the forum can answer. I was on Tysabri for one infusion before that got yanked, so now I am looking at other options. Basically, I want to arm my...
