Neurologist. I didn’t get to read anything, just got told on the phone it was normal and that was it. It was an mri of the brain and cervical spine done without contrast.. Re: Myelin Switch

Well, that was easy to find. It seems that the only FDA approved PAR1 antagonist is Vorapaxar. It's used as an antiplatelet drug commonly co-prescribed with aspirin. The side effects might be a problem. One of the phase III trials for Vorapaxar was terminated early due to a significant increase of i...

Who read your MRI, GP or MS Neuro?

Have you read the radiologist's report?

Was it with gadolinium contrast?

Was it of just the brain or did it also include the cervical spine?

In Firefox you can add a temporary security exception that will allow you to access the pdf. It appears to be a legitimate research paper published in the International Journal of Physiology, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology. However, I was unable to find it when I did a search in Pubmed by author n...

Homeopathy was developed by Samuel Hahnemann in 1796. One of the founding principles of homeopathy is that the more dilute a substance is, the more biologically potent that substance becomes. Thus, something diluted 100x is considered to be more potent than that same substance diluted 10x and so on....

When I was in the hospital several years ago they used the Medline sequential DVT compression sleeves. These worked great and really helped my feet. Unfortunately, they aren't available retail. Acrolein-mediated conduction loss is partially restored by K⁺ channel blockers. J Neurophysiol. 2016 Feb 1;115(2):701-10. Acrolein-mediated myelin damage is thought to be a critical mechanism leading to conduction failure following neurotrauma and neurodegenerative diseases. The exposure and activa...
