Re: Cannabis

I am having incredibly noticible spasticity relief from the transdermal patches by Mary's Medicinals. There are no psychotropic effects and no grogginess. I used to enjoy getting high when I was younger but since being diagnosed 16 yrs ago, every time I've smoked or ingested marijuana it has made my...

Re: What can i do to improve my vision - Nystagmus

Get a prescription for Namenda. It is a drug for memory but it has proven to completely resolve pendular nystagmus caused by MS. Do your own research because your doctor may not know about it.

Spasticity...Suggestions for tweaking drug regimen?

Spasticity is my most debilitating symptom. My legs are stiff and heavy and my gait looks like Frankenstein piked forward at the waist. I do a leg weight routine 3-4 times a week to keep my muscles strong and filled out but the spasticity acts like a ball and chain on each leg. I take 40 mg of baclo...

Vascular Phobia

Perky & Needled, you get it. Believe me I would do anything to have my life back but I am extremely squeamish about certain vein related things. IVs have been a struggle but I deal with it. I guess my real question is can you undergo the procedure while under general anesthesia and Needled answe...

The thought of it grosses me out

I cannot even read about CCSVI without having to put my head between my knees. Am I the only one?

Tysabri / Ampyra Combo

I received 2 doses of Tysabri years back before it was pulled from the market. My results were incredible. After a few years when it was re-approved I went back on it. My condition had deteriorated quite a bit by then and I didn't experience the mobility benefits but my QOL noticeably improved so I ...

PML risk goes down after 3 years. Anybody else heard this?

I had my blood drawn to check for the JCV antibody. I was told that the results are coming back 50/50, but that there is evidence that the patients who have been on Tysabri for 3+ years are almost all testing negative. Has anyone come across literature supporting this?

I read your post a few days ago and decided to add capsicum to my monthly VitaCost order. Is cayenne pepper the same thing? I'm taking 2 caps 2x/day and I have an annoying (not debilitating) burning in my stomach for about an hour afterwards. How much should I start with? How rapidly should I increa...

Need Guidance Re: abx

I am very interested in starting antibiotic therapy but my brief attempt at research has left me overwhelmed. Where do I start? How do I find a doctor if my neuro won't help me? I'm in an HMO so if I have to go out of network and pay privately are the drugs expensive? What is the test for cpn? Is th...
