Re: Benefit seen with interferon lasts into progressive MS

I thought recent studies showed that Betaserone, while reducing lesions, barely impacted the time to disability. I basically stopped taking it for that reason. The bad thing about this disease is you never really now for sure if what you are doing or did or didn't do is making any difference at all.

Re: Naltrexone From AllDayChemist

If you have a legal prescription, any pharmacy should be able to supply the 50 mg tablets. It is easy to dissolve them in water to derive the proper dose. I dissolve a 50 mg tablet in 50 ml of water. For a, say, 4 mg dose, I use a small syringe to extract 4 ml of solution. I put that in a glass of j...

Re: CCSVI in two days

I haven't been here for awhile, but here is my 11 month update. Since my last post, 6 months ago almost, I have been doing pretty good. I have been off all med's other than LDN since August, including Betaserone. I continue with the supplements, but my diet has been horrendous! Shame on me! Some sym...

Re: CCSVI in two days

Ok, here is a 7-1/2 month update. My, how time is flying. I am still doing well. My MS symptoms remain very minor. I remain off of Beta, but continue the supplements and LDN. My diet hasn't been as good as it should, though! I need to be more careful with it. Symptoms I do feel can include numby arm...

Re: CCSVI in two days

It has been a while since my last update, and this will be the 5 month report. I am doing quite well! Brain fog is pretty much gone. I have essentially no fatigue or muscle pains, very little dizziness, etc. There is some very mild numbness in the hands and wrists sometimes, but is generally not not...

Re: Diagnosis ?????

Did the doctor dx you with MS? I would think he would run more tests first before coming up with a dx that will have a negative impact in your insurance situation (maybe depending on how health care reform goes). Don't be in too big a hurry to get an MS dx, in other words! But, start on a good MS di...

Re: CCSVI in two days

20 weeks now since CCSVI! I have returned from Comic Con, an event I have been attending with my kids for the past 5 or 6 years, and which I was fearing would severely tax me now that MS has taken taken hold of me. I can add that it was a year ago this month that I was really starting to notice a pr...

Re: Newbie here, 16 years with MS

There is a lot of info here on LDN, and you can google it. I think this site, and/or maybe another MS site, has a whole section on LDN.

Re: Is anyone's ms just an inconvenience?

You never know! Some people do great and others don't. Keep the odds in your favor by eating well, getting the oft-recommended supplements and vitamins, possibly get on malic acid and/or LDN, and exercise. I am 57 and find MS an inconvenience at this point, but I have late onset MS and am still earl...

Re: Newbie here, 16 years with MS

I am sure it will make you feel better, and I hope it will help your MS.

Are you taking vit D3, magnesium, zinc, malic acid, etc? And you might want to ask your doc about LDN. Many don't know about it, or how to prescribe it, but you can do your research or ask for help here.

Good luck.

Re: CCSVI in two days

17 weeks now. How long will I keep reporting??? Overall, I am feeling pretty good, and am a bit surprised by it. Side effects form the Beta are reduced. Leg heaviness and discomfort is less. I worked in the heat all last weekend and it didn't bother me much. As I said last week, Comic Con next week,...

Re: Poss diagnosis, hope to start a family, scared please ad

At the least, get on a good diet and start on the often-recommended supplements. That may at least help slow down progression if and until get get on the potent drugs. We can't know how our MS will progress, so probably the best thing is to continue living the life you want. Things may get bad in th...

Re: How do you get Betaseron without insurance?

If they ask for copies of paycheck stubs, you are stuck, but otherwise..... I really don't know that diets in which you have to eliminate certain things, such as wheat or yeast, are really necessary. Maybe, but the Moderation in All Things saying probably applies. I would recommending taking more su...

Re: CCSVI in two days

16 weeks now. Overall, things are a bit better. Numbness is the hands is less, except for when I use my computer too much. Leg heaviness and some pain is still there, but varies in intensity form barely being noticeable to being simply uncomfortable. I think if I sit at my desk too much the pain bui...

Re: Possible MS according to my doctor.

You certainly have some things going on. You might indeed have MS, but you have a lot of things that are not typically related to MS, so there may be many things going on with you. I would suggest an immediate modification to your diet. You can research such diets here, as well as what supplements t...
