Re: Has anybody tried BCG vaccine for MS?

The BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin) vaccine is routinely given in the UK to school-age children. I have a friend who changed schools there often and received this vaccine four times. She now HAS MS (and has had bladder cancer, which I think is related to increased insulin as a result of the vaccine)...

Re: I am going to join the gym soon

Any exercise, even just walking, is better than no exercise. More is better (without overdoing it). Strange that doctors typically do not recommend exercise when giving a patient a MS diagnosis. So many good things happens to so many parts of the body when you exercise. Some believe the most import...

Re: I am going to join the gym soon

Core temperature is important. No high intensity cardio exercises. I take care of my neck. I don't go for my %100 but %85-90. Double rest time between exercises. Lots of streching. One day lower body, other day upper body. Monday, wednesday, friday. 200 mg magnesium citrate right after traning. Sho...

Re: I am going to join the gym soon

I recovered from 6.5 EDSS to 0. I believe gym is a great way to live with MS. I exercise with a personal trainer specialized in sports injuries and people with special needs. This is great! What else besides work out in the gym did you do? And what kind of exercise did you perform? Any specific die...

Re: Big pharmaceutical companies are spending far more on ma

How can a company sell its products if it doesn't market them? In 2017, restaurants spent $5.875 billion on advertising in the U.S., according to Kantar Media. McDonald's is the brand that spends the most on ads, racking up $963 million in ad spend last year, up 8.6% from the year before. McDonald'...

Re: Stem Cell Transplant Trial Yields Positive Results For M

"Please show something that is having more than 80% success rate?" That is exactly my point, there really isn't anything higher, as around 70%-80% of those with MS typically do well without any intervention of any kind and that is typically the success rate reported for virtually ALL the ...

Re: Stem Cell Transplant Trial Yields Positive Results For M

Fake News! "sustained remissions in early MS" This is a normal condition for most of those with early MS! Virtually all protocols make the same claim for the same reason. In fact, there are many, many studies which indicate that stem cell therapy is ineffective. And finally: "Almost ...

Re: Ocrevus questions

My husband is set to get his first infusion in a couple days. However, we are considering waiting (against the advice of his doctor) because I want to get pregnant and can't find any info. about problems with male fertility. And honestly, all the possible hazards to my husband is scary too. I'm fee...

Re: Deaths overshadow ocrelizumab trials in MS

From what I talked with my Neurologists doses for RA are much higher than for MS. There were deaths in the MS Trial Opera but they were few and it did not stop it. Anyway, not the best option but for now it keeps me kicking.

Re: RE;LONG-TERM OUTCOMES AFTER HSCT FOR M.S

Wow.....not sure I would want to spend $75,000CAD for a 33% chance of it working. I wonder if those stats could be broke down to include mylo vs non-mylo "For example, 73% of people with relapsing-remitting MS compared with 33% of people with secondary progressive MS experienced an absence of ...

Ocrelizumab and male fertility

I've been on Ocrelizumab for 5 years now and it looks like it is working well. No regression during that time, only one very small attack without any consequences in the second year. I know that for sure some female patients got pregnant and the babies are OK. I'm male and my wife cannot conceive an...

reallyreally, from 5.5 to 1.5 sounds incredible. Can you please tell us what issues you had 5.5 and what got improved and how much? I'm 2.0 and no one besides me can tell that something is wrong with me. I have some pain in the back and slight bowel problems. I've been stable for the last 5 years on...

Re: Poland or Bulgaria for CCSVI

Hello, Grozdinski is labeled a bit of a fraud. Not that he is not a skilled or bad doctor but that he is making unnecessary surgeries. He would always do CCSVI, even if there is no need. I got recommendation to get my veins checked by another doctor and they turned out to be fine, had no need for th...

Re: HSCT - A proposed cure for MS

I'm on my way for HSCT myeloablative. Have a bit more of paperwork and to see how much will it cost, but 90% of the job is done. One question is bothering me though, fertility after the procedure? I'm 31, don't have kids but who knows, one day. I will save some "warriors" in a sperm bank, ...
