Stella,

Yes lymes could be a contender, if you are in a high risk area, or a Vet and if you have a target style bite mark, but it wont cause trigeminal neuralgia. ok there is no proof that it does ok

Stella, Google ; dr windman atlas - you will find trigeminal neuralgia is a symptom. Also a misaligned atlas can cause sensation problems elsewhere in the body.
