Re: Cannabis
Hi Everyone, I wanted to give a quick update as I haven't posted since 2012 when I had my last flare up (knock on wood). I had come off of my MS medication (Avonex) for A few weeks prior to my flare up so I definitely think that had something to do with it; however, my doctors beg to differ as they ...

I was wondering..does anyone think smoking cannabis can actually make your MS worse? I used to smoke sometimes as a teenager, but then I was diagnosed with R-R MS and I smoked once after starting Avonex and it made my old MS symptoms feel terrible until I slept off the "high". I didn't smo...

Re: Is anyone's ms just an inconvenience?
That's what I hope for, too.....I have had MS for about 9 years, and have been on Avonex for most of those.. I had 2 episodes where I felt heaviness/ weakness/ tingling (and both times I had MRI's which showed new lesions on my brain) before getting on Avonex....then nothing (no new lesions showing ...

Re: jack osbourne
Hello Laura. I have a few questions. Does it really matter how many lesions show up on MRI if you are not symptomatic or vice versa? I personally could care less about lesion load as long as I am symptom free. If I have symptoms but no lesions I think its kind of moot imo. What do you think? Also w...

MS isn't a death sentence... I completely feel the same way, Stacey. I have been diagnosed with MS since I was 16 years old, and had 2 "attacks" before going on Avonex...One quite severe (my first "attack" made my whole right side went heavy and took 6 months to get better), and...

Pins and Needles and Numbness
Hello, My name is Laura and I have had Remitting-Relapsing MS for about 8 years, and have been on Avonex for most of that time.. I have only ever had 2 symptoms from the MS (thus far): 1. Heaviness in my right side (face, arm, leg) -> this is how I was diagnosed years ago. The Neurologists said it c...

Re: Coming off Avonex after 8 years of use (!!)
Hi again, So, I was "off" Avonex for about 4-5 weeks when just this past weekend (on Friday ~ it is now Monday) I started to feel very "weird". I hadn't been sleeping well at all this past month due to feelings similar to Restless Leg Syndrome, so I've been taking Rhovane (prescr...

Coming off Avonex after 8 years of use (!!)
Hello, I am 24 years old and live in Canada. I was diagnosed with MS after having my hepatitis B vaccine at the age of 15, when my right side became extremely "heavy" and I could barely move it (my right arm, leg, right side of my face etc.). 6 months after this "attack", I had a...
