Cpoaxone and swollen lymph nodes

My husband has noticed a swollen lymph node under his armpit. He has been on Copaxone for almost 2 years. I understand this is a rare side effect but is there anything to be done to reduce the swelling and make it go away quickly? Anything to prevent it from happening?

Thanks

Re: FDA accepts Teva's sNDA for Copaxone dose

Any idea if this will be accepted in Canada soon? I thought I read the original 20mg dose every other day was as effective as daily.

Re: Anxiety & constant panic attacks

I have used magnesium to help calm me and aid in sleep but lately I have found that Bach's Rescue Remendy works very well and quickly. It is a mix of 5 flowers and helps with panic and is safe for kids too,my 10 yr old uses it is he can't turn off his mind and sleep. I found the book " The feel...

Re: Fluoride

I always hate to take part in a fluoride debate but I will say that since my community removed fluoride from the water a few years ago I have seen an increase in the incidence of dental decay- I am a dental hygienist. I was speaking to a friend at PublicHealth and the rate has increased,I can't reme...

Re: Influenza Vaccination?

Yeah he wasn't receptive to LDN or other suggestions such as diet modification. And this is at our "MS Clinic" at MacMaster for other Candians. I think I'll send him for the shot thanks for all your input.

Influenza Vaccination?

My husband was diagnosed last year and I think I remember the neurologist saying not to get the flu shot or use anything that can stimulate your immune system (he was against Vit C use!?). He takes Copaxone. Do others get the flu shot? This is such a bad year and I would hate for him to get sick. I ...

Tetnus injection?

My husband just started a new job and they want him to get a tetnus shot. I know he shouldn't have the flu shot (his MD told him) but what about this one? He works as a welder/pipefitter in a large factory so there is always the chance of getting hurt. The plant doctor wasn't sure so he left it to m...

Muscle spasm after injection

This is month 2 of my husband taking Copaxone. Tonight when I injected in his arm he had muscle spasms for about 5 minutes after. Has anyone else had this?We use the autoinjector and set it according to the Shared Solutions nurse. Also, his left leg has gotten swollen, red and warm in the injection ...

Re: Injection site red and warm

Thanks, He ended up on an antibiotic since the redness and heat were spreading up into his thigh. We are waiting for someone from shared solutions to come and teach him about the injections. Finally got into the MS clinic at McMaster hospital and the neuro said "yes you have MS, take the copaxo...

Injection site red and warm

My husband just started Copax 5 days ago. He has been injecting into his thigh thinking he had to do 1 site for a week and then move to another site (poor instructions from MD). Now that thigh is red, hard and warm. I called shared solutions and they said not to worry but start moving the sites aroun...

Re: When do you need steroid treatment?

I try to avoid the hospitals here in Niagara, they are dirty and old. My husband finally got into our regular neuro and she gave him 10 days of predinsone. Today is day 3 and still waiting to see if it helps. She said "you should have come to see me sooner in the flare-up it would have helped y...

When do you need steroid treatment?

My husband has been having a flare up since mid-March (trunk and upper leg numb) and we are on 2 waiting lists to see neuros (appt MS Hamilton clinic June 26th). Re: Just learned my husband has MS

Wow, thanks everyone for your suggestions. About 2 yrs ago I started seeing a naturopath and made changes to our diet then. I just need him to "buy in" to this diet idea because he has always been a doubter. No sugar will be the hardest. We will certainly check out all the sites mentioned. ...

Re: Just learned my husband has MS

Yes we are waiting to get into Mac.I just wished the neuro had started him on something when she gave the dx instead of sending us home with a list of 4 meds and saying choose 1 and let them know at Mac. She made it sound like they would see us within a couple of weeks instead of 4 months. I did som...

Just learned my husband has MS

My husband (age 45)was just diagnosed in late Feb 2012 with RRMS. After the diagnosis from MRI and spinal he lost vision in 1 eye that came back a couple of weeks later. Then in mid-March the right side of his stomach and his right thigh have gone numb and still are. We are still waiting to get into...
