Re: Thumb/Finger Twitching?

I know tremors can be a sign of MS.......but i've been dealing with something for the past few months that seem to come and go. Recently especially, in certain "positions" of my thumb or certain fingers i'll have a sort of 'twitch'.....but it seems to go away once I change positions. Now ...

Re: Think I may have MS

I dont think you are being irrational at all Sam. You know your body best. I am in the same situation as you. I'm just waiting it out right now. I've had four CT scans and two MRI's(no spine). I wish the best and hope you do not have MS. Let us know the results on the MRI and good luck

Re: Another Newbie, not yet Dx

Hello All- This is my first entry on an MS forum. I have been reading some forums and doing a lot of research latley and I am quite concerned I may have MS. I have suffered for at least the past 6 years with periods of severe fatigue, muscle pain and soreness, hand tremors and odd body sensations. ...

Re: Stress Management May Prevent MS Brain Lesions

Is there anything with MS that is definitive? Every time I see a new study or treatment its always "suggests" "may" "promising" etc.

Wait and see is the best approach. Thats what I'm doing. I'm not too sure about your dry mouth and eyes symptoms. seems atypical to me.

Re: HIV and MS

I bet its more coincidence than anything else. Based on the reading I have done MS has its own natural path. It may seem like the antiviral drugs are helping his disease but more likely than not it is just the natural course of the disease

Cheer, It's nice to see that MS research has been branching out in other directions the past few years. While this new theory certainly needs to be proven, let's hope it leads to the long awaited cure. Harry How does one cure a degenerative disease? Have any other neurodegenerative diseases ever be...

Re: Does exercise have any effect on MS exacerbations?

That was originally my motivation for running. I figured I'd better keep my muscles in shape, for I may not be able to in the future. I was once crippled by this disease for a month, and it screwed my muscles up so bad. At least after my last attack, I feel I'm able to get back into running a mere ...

Re: jack osbourne

What bummed me out was Dr Gupta never mentioned diet which has worked for me so far (knock on wood). I am also drug free. My Dad had PPMS and died of pneumonia complications after bed ridden for many years. I have seen this hideous disease at its worst which was prior to all the knowledge and DMDS ...

Re: jack osbourne

I agree the Osbournes need to do a bit more research on the disease and try and educate people on the variations of the condition and how every person is different. Every person has a different course but is the end result really any different? I mean based on the research I have done so far MS act...

Re: jack osbourne

MS isn't a death sentence... I then started Avonex and have now been on it for 8 years..my last MRI showed 0 new lesions, but unfortunately, I am currently experiencing my very first "attack" since taking the drug. It's pretty upsetting having these new symptoms, but to only have had 1 at...

Re: OPINIONS OF MEDS

I posted earlier that i've stopped taking my meds. Betaseron to be specific. I was on it for almost 2 years and suddenly started to get really bad flu like symptoms. I started to research about these meds and found out that it could(maybe) slow the progression of the disease but only by 30%. It's n...
