Re: vagus nerve compression in CCSVI in MS

This post was copied from another topic. https://www.thisisms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=202250#p202250 http://m.brain.oxfordjournals.org/content/124/12/2347.long There is now persuasive evidence that trigeminal neuralgia is usually caused by demyelination of trigeminal sensory fibres within either t...

Re: Optic neuritis-clemastine fumarate-b-12

Things cleared up for the most part within the next 10 days. I wound up taking 2.68 mg CF every second or third day a few more times. I’m just waiting for the minor difficulty reading standard sized text with only the affected eye to pass (or not). I suspect clemastine fumarate could be a game chang...

Optic neuritis-clemastine fumarate-b-12

I started experiencing optic neuritis on 3/26. As is described by doc google, it worsened over about 4 days and sat in my eye like a central opaque gray cloud. Around the 4th day, I took a rainbow of supplements and 1.34 mg clemastine fumarate. It seemed like the cloud became a little less opaque th...

Re: Rituximab iv and intrathecal with valtrex

Hi scott1,

I’ve not had one. I take a bit of this or that every once in a while but take nothing with regularity.

I’m off to post details on current ON situation on general. I’m a bit excited about it…probably prematurely but that’s how I roll. :)

Be well

Re: Rituximab iv and intrathecal with valtrex

Update. I’ve been smacked w my first very likely MS related symptom since last rituxan treatment. Could optic neuritis be more annoying? My relapses always hit in late winter so it fits my pattern. I’m kicking myself a bit for totally forgetting to stay on top of my vitamin D this winter. A couple o...

Seeing the naive handmaidens celebrate the new “better world” makes my stomach turn. Scary WTF times we live in.

On the bright side, I see a business opportunity in solar powered hybrid chastity-pleasure belts. LOCK THEM OUT!! LOCK THEM OUT!!

Re: Hibiscus inhibits iron neurotoxicity

Are y’all seeking out hibiscus sabdariffa for the iron safety effect? Post any interesting (or boring) results. I might join in the tea club after I’ve exhausted my uric acid curiosity. Do you suppose you could absorb the tea transdermally…like a vitamin c face mist to protect against daytime free r...

Re: Hibiscus inhibits iron neurotoxicity

Oh wow. Time warp. I wonder if the uric acid lowering effect of hibiscus tea is responsible for the diuretic effect you experienced when drinking it for BP. Also, I don’t have time to search this up but I seem to recall having a goofy idea about the geographic distribution of MS and consumption of h...

Doh! Those dang pumps. What’s wrong with good ol’ squeeze bottles anyway? I’m thinking BARTS is stalking you. This morning’s blog blast is re: HRT. Have you ever tried that yam cream? I wonder what it does for your skin condition. You could n=1 prove/disprove the claimed estrogen effect. Good Lord! ...

That *is* magical! Not to discount the suckiness of having an autoimmune skin condition, it’s pretty cool that you can actually see the effect of things you’re trying. I hope you’re onto something…

Re: uric acid

Hey scott1, Thanks for your answers. I did a bit more googling whilst chasing various other squirrels and ran into (and unfortunately later closed the related window) a study that explained lower uric acid levels noted in another inflammatory condition are the result of “consumption” of the uric aci...

Re: uric acid

Just popping on for a quickie :D I doubt I have issues with ATP as energy is no issue for me. Yet I maybe ran into an issue with uric acid. And whilst, according to your recommendation to focus on ADP/ATP, you consume a diet rich in meat and greens, you are inadvertently focusing on purines methinks...
