Thanks Elliot, very much appreciate your thoughts and assistance. Your analysis seems a reasonable way of going forward on the matter, with only a modest downside.

Re: THE WORLD'S FIRST WEARABLE STOCHASTIC RESONANCE DEVICE is helping me walk better & greatly reducing my pain - amazin

Just to clarify and I mean no disrespect, at this stage Elliot is getting good results from this device. Are there any others ? Bob the physical therapist says it helps (but maybe we should consider that they promote products). There was a video somewhere of two women said to be wearing it and impro...

Re: Newsflash: Wellness a Priority for MS Patients

Just a couple of points on this -

Isn't diet, exercise etc worked on by the patients themselves because the medical profession has failed them?
These are things people can do for minimal threshold cost
Why pay neurologists for advice they are not trained to give?

This sounds good but what did the control group do? Also, it would be interesting to know the type of exercises undertaken and the variation of results between the two groups.

Re: IBS or something else

Given your level of disability, normally the preparation for a colonoscopy will involve an overnight stay in hospital where the 'clean out' will be managed by the nursing staff.

Re: physical therapist in your home

Some physios/trainers are good but most are far too expensive for what they do. I see a physio from time to time but have a carer set up and assist my daily home training at 1/7th the cost.

Re: Fatigue? CoQ10 and MitoQ online presentation and discuss

In one of the videos, the MitoQ CEO seems to be saying that there is anecdotal evidence that MitoQ can cause leg swelling. Or I may have misunderstood and it could be the opposite which seems more logical. Anyone have any knowledge of this?

Re: MS_ Veterans - Service Connected Disability

I served in the Australian army (infantry) during the Vietnam War era. Looking back, it was personally a rewarding experience of questionable purpose. My PPMS developed 6 years after discharge. I suspect that some incidents during my service and/or inoculations may have contributed to my condition. ...

Does Cytomegalovirus (CMV) affect MS?

My recent blood test shows that I have CMV and EBV but I assume they are not recent infections (IgG detected and IgM not detected). There was no indication of Chlamydia or other bacteria and no test of HHV6 or 7. I haven't yet had the chance to review the tests with the doctor but have been looking ...

Re: ‘Bionic spine’ could enable paralysed patients to walk

One interesting point of this project, as reported in another article is that the inserted item is made up as a stent to be fed up the jugular vein and secured in the vein near the brain, so it seems, and we know here of some of the problems of stents in veins.

Re: Six taken ill during French drug trial

Carl Elliott, a bioethicist at the University of Minnesota, said investigators should look into questions like how much the men were paid and whether they properly consented to the trial. “Many Phase 1 trial volunteers are poor and unemployed, and they volunteer for trials like this because they ar...

Re: MS ‘appears to originate in different part of brain’

My personal experience may have relevance. I was dx in 1982 when my neurologist did a lumbar puncture to assess the CSF. The results were 90% likely to be MS. This test followed an incident of surface numbness to my hand and later my leg ie sensory only, rather than muscular/balance etc for the firs...
