Re: PMLCases now reach 331

I started having seizures. Which slapped me right back into the PML watch-list. I basically hit a new max-point regarding stress. And I -have seen sh$t._ I am no stranger to aggravated-stress. But after a point, you just have to laugh (maniacally, sometimes, maybe?) And do what you do. So I take med...

Re: A severe side effect response to gilenya

So, ultimately, after a lot of research and back-n-forth, I decided NOT to chance the Gilenya effects. I started having seizures again, which puts me BACK on the "observation table" for post-Tysabri PML. Instead of Gilenya (Aubagio was never an option in my belly, with my neuro's concurrin...

Re: JC Virus Test Vs. Tysabri Antibody T itre

Since some people report symptoms but have NO lesions found on MRI and other people with NO symptoms have been found, upon autopsy, to have MANY lesions, I personally believe there is no correlation between lesions and symptoms/progression of MS. Science has not established the cause of MS; therefo...

Re: JC Virus Test Vs. Tysabri Antibody T itre

Hi, Thanks for your responses. Fortunately I learned that my MRI did not show any indication of PML/new MS activity. But that said, I'm -still- having the symptoms which are noticeable to both friends/colleagues who know/don't know. I've been getting comments lately, too. But, instead of further inv...

Re: A bottle of Scotch and a candy bar...

That was the main reason I stopped at the grocery a little while ago after a long drive to/from my neuro in non-stop rain. I rarely partake of either substance these days, but it just seems like a Dewar's and chocolate evening to me. Or a Dewar's and chocolate week... Will report after I've...

Re: JC Virus Test Vs. Tysabri Antibody T itre

Hello, Does anyone know the difference between the JCVirus and the Tysabri Antibody Titre? Believe that the JC Virus is a latent virus in about 85% of the general population and it remains dormant unless your immune system becomes severely compromised in some way. And Tysabri does just that and can...

Re: A severe side effect response to gilenya

So, wait. HOW many have died? What is the source for "11 deaths?" My doctor is strongly urging that I start 'Gilenya,' because 'we are running out of options.' When he first told me about it, I left the office just shy of tossing the info in the trash can on my way to the bus. Then I thoug...

Re: PML Cases now reach 312

I wonder if this has to do with the medicine, or with the number of people staying on it despite the JC Virus tests or their doctors' suggestions.

Either way, this is really disconcerting.

Re: Endless illness

Hey there, Lars I, too, have been sick since the day after my latest infusion, from November. Nausea, no appetite, vomiting, fever, lung infection which caused onset of Asthma (!!), weakness, dizziness, upper-abdominal cramping, and a really intense set of hives all over my arms, neck and face. All ...
