Re: Fecal Microbiota Transplantation - 3 cases
I would of thought they would be combining or extracting the best, and make a SUPER POOP! err.. i mean super-bacteria-combination. ie just maybe extract and breed the better bacteria? like the current general "stomach bacteria" pills you see. No kidding. Other scientific studies ha...

Thanks BadKitty. He hasn't given special instructions. I made an appt with him this next week.
You needed a nurse to help figure it out? What happened with that flare?

How do your MS flares start?
I'm trying to figure out if I am having a flare right now. I have been feeling a bit worse every day for a couple of weeks now, a little more numb in my arms and legs, a little bit less motor function in my hands, etc. Is this how flares start for you, or are they more sudden? And would you go see t...

Re: every other day
Instead of skipping every other day, I usually only skip 12 hours at a time. I usually do the shot in the evenings, but will skip a day and then do the shot the next morning. Then, after a day or so I go back to evenings, 36 hours later. This way there are no more than 36 hours between shots, but I ...

Thanks for your replies. I too am generally skeptical of things like this, but it seems some get good results. Maybe I will give it a shot. Thanks!

Anyone have experience with acupuncture?
My holistic Doctor recommended acupuncture for numbness\tingling in my legs. Does anyone have experience with this, and did it help? Thanks!

"The Holy Grail" -- Continuation of Nanoparticle research
Anyone else excited about this? Some results from the first clinical trial based on the nanoparticle research first published this last November. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/06/130605144312.htm Quote: "A phase 1 clinical trial for the first treatment to reset the immune system of ...

Re: Symptoms right after 1st HICY infusion?
Hi, I don't have any experience with HSCT, but have read a bit about it. The expert seems to be George Goss, who did HSCT a few years ago and has a blog about his experience and about HSCT in general. It is pretty comprehensive. Hopefully you can find an answer there. Good luck and I hope it works f...

"Cure drug" due on the market possibly by July? Which drug was he referring to?
I thought Lemtrada is about the only big potential drug in the FDA right now, and that one is an infusion drug....
Thanks!

They helped me and I have insurance. The nurse told me they cover up to $2500 of your deductible. Possibly more, based on your income.

Re: Probiotic enemas? Has anyone tried them?
Well, um, let us know how it goes? Since they say that up to 70% of your immune system is in your digestive system, I don't see why it couldn't help. Have there been clinical studies with MS and probiotics performed? Also, has anyone ever had the probiotics that require a prescription from a doc, an...

Re: Testosterone Affects MS Outcomes in Men
After a couple of weeks of taking it, your body stops producing its own testosterone (same reason they advise against steroid abuse). You become dependent on the testosterone supplement. A guy would have to weigh the benefits vs. the costs. If a higher testosterone level helps with MS, it might be w...

Re: Which pharma drug in the pipeline has the most promise?
Personally, I am most excited about Lemtrada (Campath). I think they have figured out how to prevent/treat most of the side effects, and the prospect of having a 80% chance of no relapses the next 3 years sounds good to me. Some who were part of the original clinical trials went from active disease ...

Thank you for your responses. Jimmylegs: Thank you for your posts about nutrition. I have learned a lot from reading what you say and appreciate your approach. JeanDeEau: Very good points. You may very well be a business owner yourself. I don't know anyone right now to mentor, but have a few friends...
