Re: Aubagio - Any suggestions to help with stomach issues

If she is not taking her daily dose with a hearty meal and plenty of fluids, I suggest trying that first. Since it is a once a day dose, take it with whatever meal is the largest of the day.
This doesn't work for everyone, but it did for me.

Insurance no longer covering Amphetamine for MS fatigue.

As I write this, I am so wiped out I can barely function. I have been taking the generic Dextroamphetamine SR 15mg for over 3 years for fatigue. It works well for me. Now they will no longer cover it, and I can't really afford to pay out of pocket. They say they no longer cover any stimulants for ms...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?

MSandI, I am not aware of any meds that promise to get rid of lesions or plaques. What they do say is that they may lessen the number of new lesions or plaques that you develop. Your body will heal itself, if given a chance. The holy grail for MS, is to slow development of new lesions to the point t...

Re: B12 insufficiency/MS

Lynda, my symptoms have been all over the place. Specifically since getting B12 up I felt good with few symptoms at all. The only thing symptom I had was spasticity. While on aubagio I discovered the unusually high b12, stopped the b12 and my symptoms have increased. There is so much going on it is ...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?

So glad you got your results. Lyndacarol is much more knowledgable than I, but it does sound like you have room to improve your B12. With your numbers, focusing on adding a few foods rich in b12 may be all that is needed. I continue to interested in your b12 going forward. Mine was originally low, a...

Re: Tecfidera How to minimize or Eliminate Side Effects

Have I ever! Check my post on the b12 insufficiency. Also. You mention magnesium so to let you know that my magnesium level was suboptimal but not too bad. Although I can not quote what it was at the moment. I do supplement with magnesium glycinate and citrate to keep it in the upper part of the ran...

Re: Tecfidera How to minimize or Eliminate Side Effects

Ladymac. I am glad to hear the Tecfidera is doing well for you. I have never taken the Tecfidera but recently switched from aubagio to rebif, and I am always interested to hear how others are doing on other treatments. My reason to reply is, while on aubagio I also found eating a hearty meal was hel...

Re: B12 insufficiency/MS

Yes, I have been tested. But before I give the data, let me tell my B12 story. About 3 months after my first MS attack with all symptoms subside and just prior to diagnosis of MS I tested low on B12. I do not have that exact data, but I think it was in the 20pg/ml range. This was in the fall of 2010...

Re: B12 insufficiency/MS

It surely is posted elsewhere, but what can be done to improve b12 utilization in the body. My b12 was low initially via blood test , but now remains very high despite stopping b12 supplementation. I am convinced of at least a strong correlation between ms progression and the bodies declining abilit...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?

Glad to hear things are going well for you. Sorry I have not replied for a bit, as I have been really busy.... Thanks for inquiring to your doc about the b12, I would be really interested to know. Kind of a side note of advice, I would get copies of all of your blood work and test results for your o...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?

Great! That is good news Ann and I am so glad that the issue subsided. I am very interested to hear how the Aubagio regimen goes for you, and feel sure it will go well. I will continue praying for you and hope you have no other symptoms. One thing I would be interested to know from you, or anyone el...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?

Ann, sorry to hear you are having problems. I had my first experience with tightness around my ribs about 6 months ago. It was not severe, nor painful. It lasted for about 2 weeks and I did nothing for it. Sounds like yours may be more severe. Sorry that I have no tips for that issue particularly, b...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?

Your sentiment is appreciated Ann, I wish you and everyone else well also. Most peoples lives are difficult enough, without the added twist of chronic disease. MS is unpredictable, just like many other diseases. I think that unpredictability of it is what makes me and many others worry at times. The...

Re: Shoe Type and/or Insoles?

Thanks again for the great information. What you have said makes sense. I will check it out. Since my dx's, I have changed my diet and exercise greatly. Before I did none, now I do some! But honestly, the exercise always is last on my list. Diet and supplements are really integrated into my lifestyl...

Peony Immune

A search for white peony and/or Peony Immune yielded only a few results on this board, so I was wondering what experience if any folks had with Life Extensions Peony Immune capsules. Also, if folks had any experience with white peony in general in addition to what has already been posted by upright ...
