Re: Possible promising target for Multiple Sclerosis treatme

I read about this today, it was very interesting.
Can't this be triggered by the cmv virus?
And would that mean another immunosuppressive drug or is there a way to block the expression of it naturally.?

Re: Newbie, just a couple of questions

Well I can only respond to the ON part. That was one of my first symptoms 16 years ago (age 27). I had an MRI shortly after that showed basically small dots of demyelination, and was told it will nerver surmount to anything so not to worry. I was diagnosed at the age of 35 after a streesfull event (...

Re: Jelinek diet discussion

My liver ensymes are normal and my vitamin b 12 is in the 300 's.
I don't know about my zinc level.
I am interested in the zamboni neck collar theory!
Barometric pressure is my biggest influencing factor, and maybe blood pressure and blood vessel diameter and volume status?

Re: Jelinek diet discussion

Well the only difference I noticed was when I started adding vitamin b , I only started increasing my omega 3 in august and if anything thats when I started getting a little worse. I think its all related to the time of year! Its so predictable here! Second week in august things start getting a litt...

Re: Jelinek diet discussion

Hi, my first symptoms of MS (left below knee weakness and optic neuritis) were in 1997. I have had a total of 4 children(1994 - 2001). I had a stressful life event (daughter developed leukemia 2003) and I was then diagnosed 1 1/2 years later (when my immune system was probably the weakest) left leg ...

Hawaii and San Diego have the most stable pressures in north america!
I even notice worsening of my symptoms with any weather changes where is a big change in barometric pressure!

Re: A new concept for MS [I think I found it: This Is MS]

Yes but wasn't it said that the brain cells were starving for glucose? And if so , does metformin affect all cells the same (brain cell, fat cells, muscle cells...) as far as insulin resistance goes? Wouldn't there be more cognitive symptoms of this starvation? Just trying to sort this all out in he...

Re: A new concept for MS [I think I found it: This Is MS]

Very interesting! Hyperinsulinemia would explain the initial lower blood glucose levels during this phase of pre prediabetes and increase in cellular insulin resistance (insulin the storage hormone, also fat into fat cells). I find Barometric pressure changes (weather changes) and stress I find are ...
