Can't help but feel that walking speed is a bad measure of my hands not working.

Hand problems and tendonitis
I've managed to set a new record in the hand surgeon's eyes: I have trigger finger in all ten digits! He knows I have MS, obviously, and is also aware of my many lesions on both my spinal column and brain. I've done the steroid shots in my knuckles (as fun as you might imagine) and things got better...

Re: Drug internaction with bentonite clay taken internally
One week later and I think I can say I timed it so that it doesn't effect the gabapentin.
Is it doing any good? Who knows...

Drug internaction with bentonite clay taken internally
I've pretty much convinced myself that a detox is due for me and part of that will be taking bentonite clay. I'm on copaxone (I inject in the morning) and gabapentin 7am, 2pm, and 9pm). I can't find any info on the release time for regular, not extended release, of gabapentin. So far the copaxone ha...

Re: Need sedation ideas for MRI
They ended up trying a xanax/ativan combo that did nothing for me. I had a cloth over my face but still couldnt even make it in the machine. I came un to the hospitsl because my entire right side was numb. Once they ruled out stroke with a ct, they said they had to confirm an active lesion before st...

Need sedation ideas for MRI
I've had two successful mris in my life and six failures. The first one I was able to tolerate occurred after being awake the 40 hours prior and I was given two valiums. The other one I was sedated via IV with versed. I thought versed was the answer, but I've switched hospitals and this new one will...

Re: 2 months on Copaxone
I realize this is a year old, but just in case someone stumbles accross this and says "I have that too..." I had allergic reactions to copaxone from the beginning (and it's only been 5 weeks). They had me coat the injection area with diphenhydramine gel, cover it with plastic wrap for 10 m...

Re: Which drug to try next?
Thanks! I began dousing myself with diphenhydramine gel and that brought the pain from an 8 to a 3.

Re: Why did I bother going to college?
Upon further reflection, I've decided it's a PR ploy. I'm such a sucker for a "nasty rich people" story.

Why did I bother going to college?
If I'd only known that I would be blessed with an autoimmune disorder, I could have been making $130/hour from the get-go. Now, where do I sign up...

Which drug to try next?
I started copaxone on Thursday. The first shot brought on redness and hives. Friday's shot was extremely painful (well, not the shot itself, the pain starts 30 seconds after). The pain was on par with childbirth, natural childbirth actually, on Sunday (happy Mother's Day!). Each day brought more pai...

Re: Any advice for flushing?
Maybe. What kind of luck do I have if I've developed two autoimmune diseases in a few months?
from what I've read, rosacea has tiny bumps like a rash and my skin texture hasn't changed, just the color.

Re: Any advice for flushing?
It started before I started copaxone and has continued on. Nothing else is new. All I can tell from web searches is that it is a "common MS symptom". It doesn't hurt or itch or anything, my concern is purely cosmetic. Still, it does startle me whenever I catch my reflection. I think I read...
