Re: itching
I take a baby aspirin 81mg and a Zantac 150 with each 240 mg Tec. I have started a probiotic with the morning dose. This has worked. I have only flushed once in the 6 weeks I've been taking Tec. But I truly believe staying hydrated helps the most. Eight - 8 oz glasses of water a day.

Re: Thinking of stopping Tysabri. Thoughts appreciated
What is your jcv titer? I was on Ty for 73 months. It was the best medicine I have been on. I have been on Avonex, rebif, tysabri, tecfidera and gilenya. Gilenya was the easiest but tysabri was the best. I had one flair and that wasn't because the med didn't work it was because I got in a hot bath t...

Three months on Gilenya
Well I have been on a Gilenya for 3 months.
No flares or anything. Easiest med I have been on for MS.
My neuro wants 1st blood work between 3 & 4 months.
How often is blood work typically done?

Yes I'm jcv+. I didn't know it would be a problem.
I will talk with neuro about it.
Thanks for the info.

Rituxan infusion schedule
I'm currently in Gilenya 2 months. I haven't had my blood work to see if I can remain on Gilenya.
I am interested in Rituxan as my neuro has mentioned it.
I was on Tysabri for 73 months and wonder what the dosing schedule is like.
What is a typical Rituxan infusion like?

Re: Starting Gilenya soon
Well I started on 3/17, it was a boring 6 hours. My heart rate fell from 95 to 63. It was up to 83 when I left six hours later. So far I haven't really noticed any side effects. Maybe a small headache but I think it is sinus related. I have had a sore lower back since starting but I think it's more ...

Starting Gilenya soon
I have been on Avonex, Rebif, Tysabri, Tecfidera & Copaxone. I am currently on Copaxone. I can't wait to start Gilenya. The lumps and itching drives me crazy. I am still waiting to have my EKG, eye exam and blood work. I am going to get three ekg's. Is this standard? My neuro wants an EKG, blood...

Re: Tecfidera and Psoriasis
I have it on the soles of my feet and the palms of my hands. The dermatologist has given me steroid. I just started the Xtrac laser treatment. This is working. Sunlight does work but I am not outside with my shoes off to often. I'm in Illinois it is cold outside. I really want to be on 1 ms med for ...

Re: Tecfidera and Psoriasis
I went to see a ms specialist and he doesn't think the tecfidera caused the psoriasis. He did say he thought it would be the best for me to go back on it. I have been on copaxone for the last couple months and I can't stand the lumps and itching. The specialist also talked about gilenya and said he ...

JCV index
I am JCV+. I used tysabri 73 times. I switched to tecfidera, used it for 4 months. My neuro had me stop taking it. I had 1 flare and developed psoriasis while on tecfidera. I want to get back on tysabri. I did the index blood test and I am a .46. Does anyone know what this means? I want to know what...

Tecfidera and Psoriasis
I was on Tysabri for 6 years. I stopped and started Tecfidera. I was on Tec for 4 months and then I had two low white blood cell counts. The week of the last WBC lab the skin on my hands and feet started peeling. My neuro had me stop taking carbamazepine and Tec. That was over a month ago. Last week...

Re: Dishydrotic eczema...anyone?
I have had MS for 8 years and no eczema. Four and a half months ago I started Tecfidera. Well 2 weeks ago I developed dishydrotic eczema on both palms of hands and both soles of feet. Neuro stopped Tecfidera. I want to go back to Tysabri - 6 years no flares or eczema - but I am JCV+. Not sure if thi...

Infusion duration
I have a simple question for anyone that has been on Lemtrada. How long does each individual infusion take? Is it about an hour or all day? I just stopped Tysabri after 73 infusions (JCV+). I am waiting for my Tecfidera script to get here. I like to stay current with what new treatments are coming. ...
