Hi Paddi, I have been on Aubagio since 2012 and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the treatment. I did "shed" my hair and at the time thought I would go bald, but I didn't. It thinned enough that I had to adjust my favorite baseball cap because it had become too large. However...

@tscott999 as you said everyone responds differently but from what my doctor said and by what I experienced it does resolve itself. I know I thought at first by the amount of hair coming out I knew for sure I would be bald but to be honest no one could really tell except for me (and my hairdresser)....

I'm now at 6 1/2 months and the shedding has definitely stopped and I can see the regrowth about an inch long now. The texture of my hair is back to normal. Hang in there everyone it gets better!

Went to hair dresser today...she noticed that I definitely had less hair than 7 weeks ago...but!!! I have new growth! So hopefully things will thicken up as they get longer. Also, I and she noticed that the texture was different...more frizzy. She said it reminds her of "anesthesia" hair. ...

Reagan...the package insert on Aubagio states that 13% of people (on 14mg compared to 10% on 7mg) complained of hair loss compared to 3% on placebo however it does go on to say that alopecia (hair thinning) was the most common cause for discontinuation. I'm at month 5 of Aubagio... Started shedding at 3 1/2 months...still having some loss but not as much as it was about 3 weeks ago. Definitely seeing a slow down! Yeah! Thank you soooo much for making me fell better about this. What you said is exactly how I would describe my situation. Ie thinner pony tail more noticeable part etc. that's why my hair dresser went shorter with my hair to make it appear fuller. Thank you again for sharing

So how thin did your hair actually get? Mainly only noticeable to you or others as well? Was it so thin that scalp was showing? Happy to hear that it is getting better for you...you've given me hope:)

Sounds like we are in the same boat...I'll update as time goes on as well. I was previously on Copaxone and had to switch due to " progression" seen on MRI ( I was not having any symptoms ). Definitely nice not having to inject any more.
