Re: Astra Zeneca vaccine with Fingolimod

Hi, actually they only complained about a sore throat and I didn’t ask them about a loss of smell/taste. Just beginning to get my smell back. TBF my sense if smell has been quite culnerable to colds/age for last few years!

Re: Astra Zeneca vaccine with Fingolimod

Yes, that would be a good idea. I think different medication interactions, if any would be very interesting. I am pretty much back to normal so had no relapse. At one point a few days after the jab my eyesight became very blurry but improved over the next few days. Apart from a lingering loss of sme...

Re: Fingolimod better than interferon beta and GA

If my experience is anything to go by, I would definitely agree that Fingolimod is better than beta interferon. I've been on Fingolimod since around 2013 and I basically haven't had a relapse since then. I also started in around 2016 to take Trazodone which is a sleeping tablet/anti depressant which...

Re: Astra Zeneca vaccine with Fingolimod

Just a quick update for those interested! I had pretty bad flu symptoms the first 2 days after the jab and then on day 4 I had a severe bout of nausea followed by catching a sore throat, sneezes, cough along with loss of smell and taste from my kids! Mmm. However this often happens when I get a cold...

Astra Zeneca vaccine with Fingolimod

This is just a quick note to say that on Saturday 20th March 2021, I had my first Astra Zeneca Covid vaccine whilst having taken Fingolimod for about 5 years. I have nothing dramatic to report except that the vaccine side effects are quite a bit worse than my usual flu vaccine side effects and my MS...

Re: BREAKTHROUGH HOPE FOR MS TREATMENT AS SCIENTISTS DISCOVE

Hi Cheereo! I am BUSY with kids and life in general but am always logging into Pubmed to see updates these days as somehow this site is quite unwieldy. I also spend time on the Bart's Hospital webblog run by Dr Giovannoni, a great neurologist in London. He's running the raltegravir trial which I am ...

Re: Hepatitis B vaccine

I just wanted to repost the link below as I see my previous post put the incorrect link in, doh. It's interesting to note the genetic link to an area involved in suppressing amongst others the Hep B virus and how this area is linked to MS. I wouldn't be so fast to rule out Hep B vaccines as a candid...

Re: New input on Bladder issues please, and wonderful Danish

If you don't have bladder symptoms with MS then you are extremely lucky. I have been extremely lucky to have sailed a third of the way around the world with up to two others on a 60foot cutter rigged sloop. It ain't for sissies. I would only recommend the Atlantic crossing. Will they face the cape o...

Re: pregnancy, spasms, safe treatment

I too suffered from spasms which for me are definitely made worse if my bladder is full. The only way I could stop the spasms at night was to ensure my bladder was voided and that often meant peeing into a large container standing upright as the pregnancy progressed as it was the only way to void pr...
