Re: The biotin trial results are out

Yeah, I will give this a go since the calcitriol route may not be possible at the moment. And yes, the cost of MS drugs is sickening. Maybe we MS folks should be allowed an inside stock deal so we could at least be able to pay for our treatments, and become wealthy at the same time. Just kidding, we...

I am not understanding what you are trying to explain. What about tap water? Anti vaxing or not? I just cannot tell what you are trying to say. Sorry, but help me out. Regards.

Re: Remyelination: new research from Karolinska Institute

I bet the tavist will be tweaked to remove or lower the major drowsiness it causes and then marketed for about $60,000 per year. Yeah! Seriously, this was my allergy med 30 years ago and it was almost as potent as benedryl, for me anyway.
Would be cool if it does work in humans.

Re: Copaxone to Tec

I tried the change from copaxone to tecfidera. Unfortunately I couldn't handle the side effects of tec. Now I take nothing since my insurance company won't cover copaxone any more. It was a poor decision for me but you may have great success with tecfidera.

Best of luck,

Re: Ebola virus

I would ask the person with Ebola who is dying an atrocious death how they feel about a possible vaccine. Ebola (which some people actually believe is a government plan to kill, just like AIDS is still thought to be) is so aggressive that the only prevention is avoidance. Makes me sick to see those ...

Yeah, waiting is really awful. When I was diagnosed with ms, I had a feeling of relief because the process takes so long. Hang in there and take care. This forum is good for venting, too.

Re: Having a tough time.

Back to the original post, I would love a cure, too. Try anything you can to help yourself. Take all advice and decide what is right for you. My GP has ms and said it is OK to try DMD,natural, chiropractic or what makes you feel better. Just be aware of some BS magic cure. I am thrilled Wahls is doin...

Re: Having a tough time.

I was never pushed or forced into taking any drug for ms. Ever. I wanted an MRI to prove I was not crazy with my symptoms. The ms meds I have taken were by choice. If someone says a neurologist will force you to take a drug is full of it. You may be told the med will help and feel pressured to take ...

Re: Detox diet

Please name these medical doctors that have been thrown in prison for using food and nutrition as part of their practice. This would make a great book. No YouTube links please. Not a fan of it.

Re: Over-the-counter antihistamine, Tavist, being tested

No one carries generic or tavist around my area. I used to take it 30 years ago for hay fever. Seems the newer Allegra and zyrtec and older benedryl allergy meds have taken more shelf space at stores. Anyone seen it lately?

I took tavist years ago for allergies. Didn't know it was still around. Would be cool if it helps.

Re: calcitriol tests

Is the injectable form more potent at similar doses compared to oral, and is it tolerated better at very high doses? The male mice got a huge dose and did not seem to suffer from it. Of course, people vs mice might not correlate exactly with dosing. I just despise ms and always look for another weap...

Re: calcitriol tests

Just wondered if anyone has tried an injectable form of calcitriol? Would this eliminate the loose bowels or is that just part of heavy dosing? I will give the oral route a try just to test it out. Will post when I do so. I am rrms so will be interesting to see if results differ. Thanking you all, R...

Re: calcitriol tests

Thanks for the info. I'm looking for the single injected dose that would be out of my system in 6-8 hours. I see that long term usage could be a problem. I sure don't need any more damage. The topical route would be kinda cool but I may have to bathe in the stuff. Thanks and good health to all. Ribeye

calcitriol tests

Are any trials upcoming for high dose calcitriol? I loathe to start gilenya. Has a dosage been found that helps with people, and if so what is a dose I could start with? My gp is curious and I need to give him a figure.

Thanks to all,

Ribeye
