Re: New and Med Free
Jimmylegs: No I haven't had my b12 tested recently. But before being diagnosed with MS I had it tested. I was mainly vegetarian back then and my level was fine. lyndacarol: Your theory on pregnancy and insulin are interesting. My first symptoms happened when I was in College- age 21 or so. But the f...

Re: Has ANYONE reversed their MS BESIDES Dr Wahls?
After diagnosis in 2008, I tried Paleo, then went vegetarian, then went vegan and raw vegan. Currently I'm mainly vegan but I do add a little fish or chicken occasionally. I do not touch gluten but might have a table spoon of cheese once a week. I find that if you live such a restricted life and fee...

Re: RE MS MAY BE TIGGERED BY FOOD
Here's my two cents. Researchers love to publish papers. They find an idea and then they build their data around it to prove it. This bacteria theory does not relate to genetic issues. And does not explain why more women than men have MS. And does not explain why the ratio of women to men with MS is...

Re: MS drugs singled out for adverse reactions
So who is reporting these adverse effects? If it's the users of these drugs, it should probably be higher numbers! I fit the "nice martyr" personality of an MS'er. And I just accepted the poison Copaxone. I never reported anything. I just quit.

Re: New and Med Free
Thanks, I was a vegetarian for many years before being diagnosed. But I eventually ate some meat later. I had three pregnancies and ate a wide variety of foods then. After being diagnosed, I tried Paleo first. But found my digestion system needed a break. So I tried vegetarian again and eventually v...

Re: Ayurveda treatment for MS
I believe that a holistic, mind/body approach is key in MS treatment. The immune system is overreacting to something. Cutting out gluten, dairy and sugar are important to stop inflammation. Yoga type stretching is excellent. Cutting out processed foods. Use coconut oil and consume organic foods. The...

Re: How were you told of your Dx?
My neuro told me I probably just had a pinched nerve. But I told him it was MS. Then my brother (who is a physician who treats MS) confirmed that he suspected it was MS. I developed optic neuritis and the physician who did that testing confirmed MS. Finally my neuro confirmed it as well.

Re: Just stumbled on this site and wanted to introduce mysel
Hi, I'm an artist as well. Although I'm not actively selling or showing my work at this time. I'm raising three busy kids and two dogs. I just wanted to let you know that the dizzy/flushing issue with Copaxone is a side-effect. I was warned about it by a nurse. And it happened to me twice. But I als...

New and Med Free
Hi I just jumped on this site today looking for others who are taking the natural path like me. I was diagnosed in 2008. I used Copaxone for a year and a half. Due to numerous side-effects or allergic reactions, I quit. I focus on vegan/raw vegan and gluten free diet. I also do yoga, walk and runnin...

Re: Psychedelics
I believe psychedelics could be useful in a controlled setting. There are ayahuasca retreats (for addicts) but I could see this ritual useful for people with Auto-Immune disease as well. There is a theory by a Canadian physician, Dr. Gabor Mate. He sees a pattern among those who get sick and those w...
