Hi there,
Which country in the World has the most advanced/best treatment for MS? Canada? I would guess at Japan or Singapore but others experience is probably more relevant. By advanced I mean the country that is trying experimental regimens and protocols to try and cure MS.

Flu and then??
Hi There, PPMS sufferer I recently got the winter flu bug that was doing its rounds here in NZ. Boy did it work a number on me! Literally took my legs out from under me for a few days and my vision became seriously messed up - (double vision and out of focus), plus both my arms became numb. 3 weeks ...

Weather the storm..
Hi There, Going through these pages it is a relief to see that other people have the same curious problem as do I. Namely, that whenever the weather changes so too do my MS symptoms. I was doing exceptionally fine until 16:00 yesterday when a low-pressure cell moved in over Wellington. All hell brok...

PPMS and diet
Hi There, I would like to ask people suffering from PPMS what diet they are following. I am following the Swank diet at present and it seems to be OK. I have tried the Wahls and Jelinek diets in the past, neither of which suited me particularly well. The Wahls diet is too restrictive and also expens...

Re: Diet cure anyone?
It is refreshing to read the varying experiences/philosophies of fellow ms travellers. I am somewhat disillusioned with the results of my adhering to a specific diet. I notice a deterioration in my general condition since following the Jelinek and then Wahls diets. The comeback from many adherents w...

Re: Diet cure anyone?
Thanks for that very thoughtful and intuitive response! I wondered if there were people out there who did nothing, yet also recovered. By adapted diet I mean that I have taken various aspects of both protocols and use them in my own diet as this seems to benefit me more so than following a specific ...

Diet cure anyone?
Hi There, I am relatively new to MS - 1 year diagnosed with PPMS, 3 years suffering from symptoms. I have tried a vast number of 'cures' over the past 2 years costing thousands of $ all to no avail. I now try a mixture of supplements, low dose naltraxone, exercise and an adapted Jelinek/Wahls diet (...

I guess it was...
After another troubled day and night, I am finally able to get out of the house today. I have come to the conclusion that it WAS a relapse after all. There was also an almighty headache attached to it that no amount of ibuprofen was able to fix. Today I am grateful to have my faculties back to norma...

Is this a relapse?
Hi There, I was sort-of ok (by MS standards) up to a week ago; then suddenly out-of-the-blue I REALLY battle to walk (I need a stick normally but now can't manage 100m), have morning nausea and am immensely tired all the time. So tired that if I lie down flat on the floor I will sleep; this has neve...

Symtoms and change
Hi there, I have actively suffered from MS symptoms for the past 3 years. My diagnosis finally came in Feb of this year - Primary Progressive. I had gone into a steep decline over the past year - barely able to walk, balance problems, bladder, vision...., all the usual suspects. Then from February u...

I am quite excited about the following link: http://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/blog/biotech/2014/07/multiple-sclerosis-ms-tavist-clemastine-genentech.html?page=all For a while now, I have noticed that whenever I get a cold or flu and take med-lemon (lemsip in some countries) a soluble, cheap a...

Re: If cold weather bothers you…
I now live in New Zealand after having lived in Qatar for 3 years. We are now experiencing our first NZ winter and my mobility has decreased by 30%. the moment it gets slightly warmer I am instantly much better! 3 years in Qatar were not easy in the extreme heat but i definitely notice that warm wea...

The start of an adventure...
Hi There! I am a 48 year-old male recently diagnosed (last Monday) with relapsing/remitting MS. This comes after 3 years of confusion created by doctors in various countries (in the Middle East) without the necessary experience of MS to make the correct diagnosis. Now I am in New Zealand and it took...

Re: Getting closer to a diagnosis...
hi jimmylegs. I just looked at your incredible 'post'!! I will study it at length. I do not have all the results of the blood-work that has been done for me. I miss the results from Qatar and Italy; however they were very thorough here in NZ when I went initially (a month ago) I will have to pursue ...
