Re: change in dental amalgams

I did not say to necessarily to ask your dentist either. The point is whether you want to trust his opinion without support, and what such tendencies say about our mindsets towards expertise. It is not a new experience for me to hear from those who tend to support the conventional views to have vari...

Re: Researchers develop better way to track MS

I assume there could be some concerns about the pitfalls of increased monitoring and treatment. While there is clearly an upside there is often a downside in terms of false positive tests, and treatments and drugs administered triggered by such a test. Perhaps similar to argument that goes in terms ...

Re: change in dental amalgams

I would say your dentist should let you know where the studies are and you should decide for yourself. Or you should be able to show them to us It seems like you are asking the rest of us here to trust in your dentists opinion of the studies to be credible as some final answer. And by the way sayin...

Re: change in dental amalgams

Sorry but I am not clear on the bottom line. Are you saying there is just no knowing or hard evidence to have a conclusion in the clinical study process. Is there any other evidence to use? What I am saying is that when it comes to studies on amalgam use in fillings, there are studies which state t...

Harry- I assume you realize there are people that are also saying the filling itself plays a role energetically in blocking natural energy pathways, though composite may do this in the same manner Also heir are questions how metals in the mouth can react to non ionizing radiation form wireless comm...

Re: change in dental amalgams

RuralLaundry as a fellow newbie I just wanted to welcome you. Your point is quite logical, yet again confounding factors could include a lot of people are having the old amalgams removed still which might actually be increasing the load for a few more years. Then you have the apparent assault of the...

Re: change in dental amalgams

I believe I had seen some studies, which were demographic in nature, where they compared some disease rates with those having a lot of amalgams with those who did not. Of course this is problematic since individuals with a lot of fillings can be indication of someone with poor health habits to begin...

I did not see anti-oxidants even mentioned. He did mention oxidized cholesterol at one point. Certainly does not seem to be the key point being discussed

Sorry but if you cannot generalize about mercury as dangerous for everyone then you pretty much cannot generalize about anything as dangerous for everyone

Re: dental health

Yes I like the way you put that. Sometimes it may be difficult to decide how long to stick to a particular diet when trying to treat a target symptom however. It also provides some hope that you can eventually find what works for you.

Re: dental health

Jimmylegs I hope we have passed any bump in the road and I look forward to future conversations. As to the idea implied by others that one needs to be an MD to create an effective or legitimate diet, I tend to disagree since doctors are taught very little in regard to nutrition. But for the sake of ...

jimmylegs- You seem quite reasonable so I will try to do my best to be cordial which is my tendency towards those who treat me in the same manner. Perhaps I did make an assumption that I was missing something in the debate about cherry producers, but I read Dr G's reference to it as dismissive My ba...

Re: dental health

And why is John McDougall able to have his program inside the U.S then? You seem to fell the cherry producer question was put to rest. So am I to understand that you feel the situation is a correct one where a food producer must first prove his product to be a drug before quoting the science behind ...

Re: dental health

I might read more about the report on Huggins since some of the charges sound worth investigating. Though from what I saw the criticisms raised here really did not call into question the overall mechanisms Huggins is suggesting. Also I felt compelled to respond about the idea that a number of bad di...
