Re: MS patient quality of life may be improved with LDN

It was awful for me, didn't help and made me feel worse. I posted in the LDN side effects thread.

Re: Vegan Diet, Vitamin B-12, Cardiovascular Health

Most vegans in western countries are aware of the B12 issue, supplement and get tested regularly along with iron and vitamin D. I think everyone regardless of diet needs regular monitoring of B12 anyway since people that eat meat can still be deficient.

Re: Physical disability, anxiety & depression in people with

This is not surprising especially if the PwD does not receive any cognitive therapy to deal with their (ever changing) new normal. Really shows the importance of seeking peer/social and professional support I think as disability increases.

Re: Hello from Canada, eh!

The amount of woo and pseudo-science here (despite being regularly challenged, thank you to those that challenge it) sure makes it seem like this is not the place for me.

Does anyone know of any science-based MS forums that have reputable information? Not MS World...

Re: What is wrong with MS research?

Not every disease has a cure, yet everyone expects absolutes. No one wants to cooperate across specialties. And all researchers work in the dark. Well said. The other issue is researchers and patients are unwilling to let go of a theory. When the UBC research is released on CCSVI hopefully there is...

Re: Could this be MS?

Have you seen a neurologist? They need to rule out a lot of things first since many of the symptoms can be found in other conditions as well.

Hope you get some answers soon!

Re: CBD Marijuana Capsules

You know, just because I didn't get what I felt was full effect from those capsules, doesn't mean you won't benefit from them.....give the ones from the dispensary a try and see what you think:-) It will definitely be interesting to compare the two. I usually don't ingest, but I do vape and really ...

Re: Walking and Spasticity

I'm sorry you are going through this.

*IF* it is MS. it sounds like it would be the more common remitting relapsing type which has a high chance of recovery from relapses, especially since you do feel like you are getting better. It of course all sucks though.

Hope you can get some answers soon!

Re: CBD Marijuana Capsules

For me, it really seems to make a difference how the capsules are made. There are expensive machines that take extractions from the plant, those are the ones that aren't working for me. The ones you can make at home, are working.....go figure. But that's great news, right? Definitely give it a try ...

Re: Walking and Spasticity

I take 4-aminopyridine and tizanadine/zanaflex. They help a bit with movement spasticity. I did not do well on Baclofen at all and tolerate Tizanadina a lot better. As far as dealing with things, I guess for me I didn't really have a choice as my mobility decreased quickly. I quickly accepted and mo...
