The problem with the twin study is that Traboulsee is taking $1M in funding from the donations of MS patients, and their families and communities. And he's using it for a research that won't even come close to answering their question of whether this treatment does or does not help them. I have a be...

Just waiting for health insurance approval

I went to John Hopkins last month for my appointment with the Revimmune team. It went well, they approved me for the therapy, now just waiting to see if BlueShield will cover the costs. The team seemed to feel there was a reasonable chance that the treatment will be covered. I have minimal disabilit...

Have sent my records to JH for HiCy

I want to agree with everyone who said the team at JH is incredible. I phoned Carrie Trecker, got phoned back by one of the doctors on the team, who spent more time reviewing my status/symptoms than my neurologist has in total over two years. His careful detail made me feel very positive about the t...

I've noticed same. I have minor balance issue, only apparent when I'm walking slowly. Running, climbing stairs, no. I read the article below some time ago and it influenced me to try to try training better balance on my own, since I can't apparently get any physio, by hiking/running on challenging r...

Gibbledy, yeah, I saw that as well. Any infection probably raises IL-6, thats probably why gum disease is linked to cardio disease//overall mortality.

This is hugely interesting. I'm going to look further but I happened to be on NYTIMES website and searched IL-6 and came up with a health article on DHEA indicating that when the hormone is given to older men and women it produced lower levels of interleukin-6 (along with higher levels of infection-...

NICK? LYON? what about this article?

Actually, I think this should go under "general" rather than diet. NICK could you possibly comment on this?? It seems to support the Ashton Embry theory (as I understood it) re leaky gut/food antigen. And, err, also seemed to support LYON theory that deliberate introduction of bacteria/par...

Hey, I got a copy of the full article, but its a really bad fax/pdf. I'm glad to email to anyone (until I find a site I can post these docs to). FYI the dose given was 1-2 gram daily with the goal of exceeding (not meeting) normal blood serum level. And, as Dignan's abstract pointed out, not only we...

Thanks Cureo/Lyon. Lyon, I actually don't think that either "Tim" or his father are getting rich. My guess is that Opexa's IR/PR guy encouraged or placed the "Tim" posts as a carny way of priming the investment market...and priming the ms community. Its not sanctionable, but its ...
