I'd have to take a pass on them.

Welcome to you and your fiance! I applaud your enthusiasm in seeking information! You did ask is it common that MRI images are not shared with us? Doctors and their practices vary, that's for sure, but for me I've never seen nor been given my MRI pics. Just told about how many lesions and where they...

Beyond Just Tired: Figuring Out MS-Related Fatigue -- was an interesting article. It did take me a minute to find it though :) That website is designed to start you at the the very beginning of the topic so you can search for the info. On that MS page, choose the "Living with Multiple Sclerosis...

Loobie,

You are right. I may have the label of Relapsing-Remitting... but, after my first attack, I never returned to what I was.

I have a flare-up and after I feel a litter better.

Rest assured. You're not alone nor crazy. I sometimes run, what I call, a "balance test" on myself. I pick a visual spot (eye level) a few yards away and walk towards it. If I can touch the spot with my finger without a problem, I feel better. My first MS symptom was vertigo. One day, whil...

The CRABs all have the end result in common, to slow down the progression of MS, that's in short. But where they differ is the patients reactions to them. I'm on Betaseron myself. My neuro gave me the info on all the meds (just the ABCs back then) and let me decide. It did take a bit of time for my ...

Now if the neuros. and the researchers could wear oven mitts for a day and *try* to accomplish their tasks... we might all be on to something ;)

'oven mitts' is a very good description. I've always used 'glovey-feeling' and then have to describe it as wearing winter gloves.

take care,

Oh yeah, did I mention... I'm currently on a family roadtrip right now? ;) New York to South Carolina (two day drive down) one minivan (rented) 4 adults and one 5year old boy. Hooray for reasonable comfortable ride, a CD player (I packed ,a lot of music), my I-Pod, a DVD player for the little guy .....

I found the cottage story very, very funny! Planning a family road trip while knowing what would entail is enough to take some Tylenol! Reading another's experience can cause laughter without the headache :)

Sharon,

Thanks and I do hope the paperwork will go through without a hitch. But if it doesn't we'll get through it.

My husband and I both agree that if there is a hitch, we'll get a lawyer. I am pretty worn out with all the paperwork so far.

cheers,

Social Security Disability

I filed for Social Security Disability this morning. I will not hear a decision (yea/nay) for several months. I haven't worked in seven years and as my MS is progressing (very slowly) it is still progressing. My husband is wonderfully supportive and has helped me tremendously with all the paperwork....

Hiya :) I looked at that abstract and the author's name "Halper" struck a note with me. I did some digging... J(une) Halper is the current director of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CSMS). The CSMS is does a great many things, one of which to produce the NARCOMS patient regi...

Jana, Hi! I hope this message finds that you are feeling better. When you started on Copaxone were you given any information on nursing/support that you could contact? In the US you could call "Shared Solutions". I'm don't know if there's something similar to where you are in Europe. Take ...

Vinyl Cafe

I've placed an order through Amazon - one of the used-book dealers. I'm looking forward to getting the book.

Cheers!
