Re: Just Started Tecfidera

My girlfriend also takes Tecfidera but she skipped the aspirin (maybe she used it a few times in the first weeks when redness was more serious), what I would also suggest is to drink a lot of water and make sure that you sleep enough, when she can't sleep enough and is tired it is more likely that t...

Just what is acceptable risk for people with MS? Shouldn't they be told the risks?

Re: New drug reduces progression for primary progressive MS.

Isn't this drug similar to the type of drug that Tysabri belongs? And the safety results were taken over a 12 week period which hardly qualifies for anything! I sure hope they do their homework a lot better than what happened with Tysabri before they ever release this medication. If you check the s...

Re: Progress

If it really helps in repairing myelin then on long term it could even help more, We still have to wait for other results of the study to know this. Probably it justs stops/slows progression so you body has a chance to heal again, that would be a win already for most of the people until they found s...

Strange that they are still investigating rituximab in PMS, as far as I know they already had a trial for that: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19847908 I mean the old one shown some minor results but not such a big breakthrough and this new study does not mention anything about disease progressi...

Re: MS has changed me

Excersising and avoiding people with negative attitude is really important to keep you in mood I agree. After my diagnosis I want to a psychologist. I was always skeptical about psychology but I wanted to give it a try and so far I think it was a good choice, we talked about my issues and then he to...

Re: my MRI

EDSS score – 3.5, 2.5 after treatment. By treatment you mean steroids I guess, as far as I know they are not so effective in ppms/spms because there is less inflammation going on there so if it worked for you it might indicate rrms. Do you think it is ppms because you have no brain lesions?, I have...

Re: Should i take Rebif?

My advice as an 'MS veteran' of 25 years is NO don't take any drug. None of them have been proven to have any effect in long term studies. I have never taken any disease modifying drugs and I am symptom free after being treated for CCSVI and cranio-dental & skeletal asymmetries. Physical proble...

"I dont understand it why would it mean that it is not an "auto-immune disease" Autoimmunity in MS is an unproven myth. There is no evidence our immune systems are attacking our nerves. In 2004 Prineas & Barnett proved that the immune cells appeared only AFTER damage occurs in th...

Re: Settings for an Effective Treatment of Multiple Sclerosi

WHY ISN'T ANYONE TALKING ABOUT THIS AND IT'S SIGNIFICANCE TO CCSVI?? New research destroys the auto-immune model of Multiple Sclerosis The Journal of Experimental Medicine said it best in their recent tweet: “Decades of medical theory which considered the brain as different from other organs of the...
