Re: Husband is not supportive whatsoever

I have found I have to be the voice of reason as to what I can or can't do. My husband doesn't discuss or talk about it with me at all. If I have a limit to what I can or can't do I just say it. I don't find that complaining helps, just making the statement that I can't do that right now seems to wo...

Re: MS has changed me

Sorry your feeling down. Yes exercise is great to improve mood. A constructive hobby is great also. Maybe make a list of things that are positive that happen each day and when your feeling down take a review of that list to see what you have to be happy about. I am glad to see this topic posted as i...

Re: Stiffness in right leg

I can jog and that does help with tightness I feel in my right leg knee down. I feel it during my jog but stretching before improves it greatly. I don't know if it is the same exact thing as your experiencing but this is what I do. If I get to the point I can't jog then swimming does sound like a wo...

Re: I am wondering how much MS will limit my future

There are Doctors with MS, don't let it slow down your dreams. Since my diagnosis I actually think I have become a better person overall and take things much more seriously. The knowledge that you have the diagnosis may help you shape the type of employer you choose as well as the partner for life. ...

Re: Sleep Problems

In my experience the only thing that has worked for me is Sleep Aid gels, they are non addictive and my Dr. is fine with me taking it every night. Its the same active ingredient as in Benedryl only double strength. It is also called unisom, but more expensive in that package. Here is the active ingr...

Re: Symptoms worse during menstruation?!

I do experience some symptoms that do not appear otherwise during the first week prior to my period (infrequently). My Dr. previously had me on bio identical progesterone, which might be something worth looking into again. There have been studies that show during pregnancy women have no symptoms, bu...

Re: Who to tell? What to tell? How much to tell?

I have only told my family and a few very close friends and my husband. I don't have any noticeable symptoms so I can still get away with not telling work. It weighs on my mind, but I keep thinking I am doing well and hope that continues. The power of positive thought is my line of thinking so far (...

Re: Copaxone vs eating those 4 amino acids

My Dr. would prefer me to be on Copaxone. Personally I think maybe it would be a good idea, but just have trouble with the injection idea and being able to commit to it.

Re: Copaxone vs eating those 4 amino acids

Copaxone certainly has been around the longest and has the least side affects. I was not aware there was a clinical study on oral Copaxone. Still am really uncertain that I could bring myself to administering a shot to myself.

Re: Copaxone vs eating those 4 amino acids

True a person really does have to listen to their body and what is the right treatment for them. You don't know until you try something and see how your body feels after giving it a true try. I have went down the path of leaky gut and taken supplements probiotics, fish oil, vitamin b complex activat...

Re: Who here takes only LDN and NO other MS drugs? PLEASE po

I have taken LDN and did blood testing for food allergies since 2012 (have eliminated foods that cause inflammation). I did recently have a new MRI scan that showed 2 new lesions since 2010 (so in 6 years that seems ok to me), however, was told by neuro that this doesn't have any tell on future disa...

Re: Experiences with Low Dose Naltrexone

I have been taking LDN since 2012 and feel very good with it. I did not experience fatigue before and had very mild symptoms. Will continue with LDN until there is something that is worthy of taking to reduce disability in the future. I also took blood tests for allergies and found certain foods cau...

Re: Copaxone vs eating those 4 amino acids

Sounds very complicated 8O Currently I try to eat foods that do not cause an inflammation reaction according to allergy blood testing. Take LDN (low dose naltrexone). Exercise 3-4 times a week cardio and 7 days a week toning. Had symptoms of some type of connective tissue disorder since 2004. Got di...
