MRI was stable for years. During relapse, a very small new lesion formed. Stable since.
Might be a good idea to get an MRI just before making a change?

At a cross roads and need advice/opinions.
I’m a snow bird in the US. I have two neurologists; one up north and one down south. The southern neurologist wants to ship me to a clinic in Houston this fall to get one of the newer medications. The northern neurologist wants me to go to zero medication due to my age. What’s a guy to do??? I’m 66....

Re: Cold creeping up my arms and legs
I eat the same when not dieting. But I will eat larger portions. I’ll also allow an occasional dessert. Consumption of sugar definitely helps with fatigue. I asked my primary care physician about this. His recommendation was to make sure I spread my eating out evenly through the day. I already do th...

In my case, lots of good food. Fresh vegs in salads and cooked fresh vegs. Fruit. Lean fish, pork, chicken, and beef. No junk foods. No prepared foods like TV dinners or cold cuts. Whole grain breads and cereals. Small amounts of rice and potatoes. I am basically doing Weight Watchers program...I di...

Re: Cold creeping up my arms and legs
I am trying to lose weight. I have noticed that days when I do good at dieting are “bad MS” days for me. Symptoms like tingling feet, brain fog, and especially fatigue are all worse than normal.
Trying to lose weight to feel and be better. But I actually feel worse. What’s a mother to do?

Re: Simvastatin trial starting
I have been doing my own trial for years. Simvastatin is almost the official drug of South Louisiana due to the diet around here...rich in fat. So I'm just a testimonial. I have been taking (40mg) Simvastatin since 1996. I was dx'd with MS 2/2016 just a week before my 59 th birthday. So, does Simvas...

Re: How long did it take you to be diagnosed with MS?
Q1...About three months from first symptom (tingling extremities), 1.5 months after optic neuritis and about one month after one side went numb. About two weeks of the last month was waiting for spinal tap results. My symptoms were out of the text book on MS. We agreed that I passed the "duck t...

There are a lot of things we can do for ourselves that the neuros don't tell us. But the good news is you can learn that stuff at this site. Take a lot of time and look around at the posts on nutrition, supplements, regiments, and medicines. I am about a year into having MS. The advice here has help...

I've been on the stuff for a year. I occasionally (like once or twice a week) get the Tecfidera shiits. It isn't violent or gut wrenching, just loosey goose.

Re: So many symptoms in a few days.
That happened to me during the initial presentation of MS.
I had some "hug," bladder, and bowel problems. All those disappeared when I went into remission. I still have the neuropathy in my lower legs.

Well, it has been a just over a year since I was diagnosed with MS. My gratitude to all here for teaching me about this disease and how to better help myself I'm kinda old to get MS. I turn 60 this month. The presentation of my disease was just like described in the textbook. The MRIs and spinal tap...

Tell us your location. Laws vary. I suspect you are not in the US due to your spelling of "labor."

Re: MS and Extreme Thirst, Fatigue/WEakness, Low T
Chris, I also have low T. It was around the 300 minimum a year before I was diagnosed. This January when I was diagnosed, my T level was a 3. I was in an episode at the time. I was prescribed a testosterone gel to apply daily. The stuff was like rubbing on snot. It gave me a few severe outbreaks of ...
