Re: Best decision I ever made!

I have also been on Gilenya for 4 years and like you I have had a very positive experience with this medication. I had had enough with the injections (Copaxone) and went on Gilenya about 6 months after it was approved. I have not had any side effects and agree that it is one of the best decisions I ...

Thanks for responding. Has anyone heard when the studies will conclude and when it is estimated to be available to the general public? Is there anyone out there considering trying it when it is made available? I mean they are obviously trying to market it already by sending the clip out via email. H...

Vaccine to Reverse the Effects of MS?

Hey all,

Has anyone seen this clip I received from WebMD? It talks about a new vacine called Neuro Vax. Has anyone heard of it or tried it?

Staiko,

Sounds logical to me but at age 16 I don't think he is very concerned with all of that stuff. I try my best to do what is right for all my kids.

I will however, pass your advise onto him.

Thanks,

Hey Staiko Big LOL! I had mono when I was 15. (got it from a boyfriend). What scares me is that my son had it when he was 14. Think I should be concerned? One better, I am concerned! but... Maybe this will help establish a foundation for MS. I feel if they find the cause, they will find a cure. Make...

Hi Jimmylegs, I looked on the web and the website I read says your level is good. According to hsfighters http://www.hsfighters.com/hcy_level.htm normal is 6.3. The average person is 10. Higher levels can lead to heart disease, dimentia and alzheimers. I have emailed my Neuro's office to see what my...

Hi Linda, I have had the pins, needles & numbness, first in one hand and then a year later in the other. To me it was more annoying than anything and after 6 months give or take it went away. My pins, needles & numbness were a little weird though, affecting my middle, ring and pinky fingers,...

Hi. Fatigue is very common with MS. Heat seems to make it worse and relapses also seem to bring fatigue on for me. I have been feeling great for about 6 months and have been feeling so good (and active) that I actually lost 8 lbs. For me it comes and goes with my relapses. Is it like that for everyo...

I think they always give you the worst case senario because they just don't know how each individual is going to progress and are trying to prepare us for it even if it does not come. I mean the brain is a very complex thing (so I am told) and MS is very different for each and every one of us. Think...

Carolw, Axion, you mentionned that lesions in optic nerve and spinal cord mean something in terms of prognosis, I didn't know that, Can you explain please, thanks Carole[/b ] This is what I found. Initial MS symptoms of visual loss or sensory problems, such as numbness or tingling, are markers for a...
