Re: Antibiotics for treating ms in Australia -- New Member

Hope this is not a private conversation - i just have to add to Sarah's remark about crankiness, grouchiness, tantrums, throwing things, and maybe attacking a barn wall with a whisk broom. All true, but, as she also says - it goes away (in time!)

You have reaction! Being knocked over is the first thing to happen. Don't ever back off. This is a long-term war.

Wonderful! Just want to congratulate you - stay with it even in the hard times. If you have had a positive reaction, you are among the very fortunate. May you get much recovery.

Welcome, Galway

This is a wonderful place that may give you some answers. There is another site, too, to look at. It is CPn Help.org; it is also known as CPn Help.

Robbie If you have read the other site's blogs and comments, you have probably heard how flagyl can affect us. My husband is a pediatrician and was astounded the first time I took flagyl. He sad"NORMAL people don't react to flagyl - especially like THAT!" It took me about four years before I stopped...

Tony It has been months since I was here, having had an incredibly busy spring (I think we haven't sat down since Feb 20). Anyway, I just saw your post and have to say I will be a very willing cheering section. I fervently hope you will join us! True, it is very hard for some of us, but the alternat...

abx

Hi selmanhope, Your blog was one I had to be notified when there was a posting. I am usually at CPn Help, but your question is one that I am compelled to reply to. My answer is a fervent affirmation of antibiotics. I am on five currently, and except for MWF, when I take Azithromycin, I am quite well...

Robbie You are doing the "hard stuff", entering the unknown, and benefitting from it. Speaking from my own vantage point of five years ahead of you, I am cheering you on, knowing that times can become difficult. On the "other site", we often talk about two steps forward and one back. I have walked l...

Hi Ken Fascinating story! My abx regiment is much like yours but with the addition of Rifampin 600 mg - 300 mg bid. I am also on twice daily metronidazole. It has been five years and over four months for me on this and I continue to improve. Rifampin does indeed penetrate the BBB, but requires a goo...

Robbie At some point soon, I think, you will shrug off the days when you feel horrible and seem to have lost the gains you made. But it turns out that they are like our children - they will be back and they will bring more! The tape is wonderful - I wish I had made even one a year - though several a...

Hooray, Robbie

Yes, it is huge! Nobody but "one of us" can realize what it is like to be able to do a thing we thought was gone forever. Keep it up - it is five years and three months for me and these are still happening. And they are still huge!

hello ACE

This is a window to the past! Much has happened since this topic began. How wonderful that you discovered it and I had long ago asked for notfication if a reply was added. I hope you will immerse yourself. This is from more than three years ago, and though I don't even know what MMS is, but strongly...

Funny, funny! Eventually you probably will be capable of doing all those things at once, but will be slammed with great ceremony way back beyond step one!
