Re: Other people's ideas

Thanks Scott1 I shall ask. My neuro says it’s not tightness. How would he know? I’ve changed neuros now but only see them once a year. I shall email the new one and ask. Does it affect your bladder/bowels though? I’ve been fighting off various infections so not been able to give the gym a good try b...

Re: Why the Paleo-Macrobiotic Diet Works

6. Homeopathic remedy Oscillococcinum by Boiron to head off a virus. IT WORKS (unless perhaps one is taking a toxic drug. Anti-biotics annul it for me.) Cost – 1 euro the dose, 1 or 2 doses will stop a sore throat, 6 doses maximum treatment over 3 days ($8). Vesta Thank you for this information whi...

Re: Other people's ideas

I thought about that many times ElliotB but decided I needed to actually get out and see people at the gym. Maybe I should have done it the other way around - the home gym and kept up the work with commuting as far as I could. I don't have the resources to do that now but I wish I had a bike or some...

Other people's ideas

I stopped working in town a while a go and have been working at home instead. I did this partly because it was hard work doing the commute, and also my physio said my body could not have coped. I thought it would also mean I could go to the gym more often. In the time I have been at home I have had ...

Re: cladribine / leustatin / mavenclad

Difficult decision jimmylegs. When I was diagnosed in 2005 they didn't offer me any DMDs. I think the protocol in the UK has changed now - they seem to work so they tend to offer them rather than wait for a relapse. I haven't had one since dx but now am probably SP. Interesting about the val & D3 co...

Re: Daily routine

Thanks NHE I've been using an over-the-counter antibiotic gel which clearly hasn't helped as it spread from one eye to the other. The GP prescribed me some fusidic acid eye drops so giving those a go. It's a different antibiotic so fingers crossed. I did buy the baby shampoo but only after the stye ...

Re: Daily routine

Thank you ElliotB. I was wondering about that this morning!

A month of hot compresses and still they are there - sigh. Shouldn't complain really. At least they aren't getting huge like last time.

Daily routine

Just back from the docs as I have had more issues with styes. After last time - when they were huge - I've been stressed about it - and been doing the hot cloth thing for the past few weeks. But the GP said if I am prone I might need to do that forever. Really? Honestly? I have atopic dermatitis and...

Re: Why the Paleo-Macrobiotic Diet Works

I've tried Wild Alaskan! Seemed a bit dry. Purchased in the local supermarket in the UK.

Also not keen on fresh tuna - prefer the tinned variety. Hmmmm, this isn't going well is it.....

Re: Why the Paleo-Macrobiotic Diet Works

Hi ElliotB

Can I ask what the issues are with farmed fish? I don't like wild salmon.
