So envision this: Your company has spent $10 Million on developing the next MS drug. A guy you routinely talk to at the FDA has told you "off the record" that while the latest results on that drug are fascinating at the end of the day what he uses to convince his boss is data and you know ...

Phase III, Dignan?

Hi Dignan et al,
I haven't posted or read for a long time...pls excuse any data that may need repeated here but could you off the top of your head update when the drugs currently in phase III might be available? You did did this for me last September and the info has been invaluable.

Hey, I know that this isn't the prevailing thought regarding profit these days but it seems to me that since there are supposedly only 400,000 of us with MS in the US, the only thing standing between "cash cow" and "who cares" is the revenue. The revenue from these MS drugs is wh...

Your brother should be OK going off Rebif...30 days off interferons prior to starting Tysabri is recommended/standard. Turns out taking Tysabri is a little more complicated than any of us wanted to believe two years ago. Read some of the Tysabri forum for more info...

Harry,
With Medicare the number requested shows little or no relationship to what the dr receives. That's the point...she rec'd $250. I agree it makes no sense but that's how the so-called system works.

I promised I would say when I got my Medicare statement for my 8/9 infusion of Tysabri. It came Wednesday. To say it was odd is an understatement My Neuro billed the Ty at $4500 and accepted Medicare's amt of $7 (yes, $7) of which they pd 80% or approx $6. Second line item is infusion charge of $400...

So there you are...you want real, actionable data that you can "take to the bank." But you know better too. All this kerflufful we go through here on this site keeps us in the mix I guess but there is very little data there and 100 times more than there was just 10 yrs ago. You're on the l...

Well, Robbie, I'm probably the last person on the planet to set anybody right about anything but you are absolutely correct for the individual which is why everything is done in crowds (read: trials) and "proven" statistically. Any one person might disprove anything but over thousands (we ...

Dignan,
Still not sure what this whole deal with cladribine and my dr is but atleast now I know where to look on the list! The Serono connection makes sense too but I will have to ask better questions of my neuro and you too before I can expect good answers. Your response was great as always...

So much activity this last week! So many drug annoucements... Dignan, You and Ian have been doing a great job of answering my questions which means I will keep asking them. My neuro mentioned a test with Rebif and cladribine starting in Q1 2007. Can't find cladribine on your list altho I have seen s...

You're right, I'm sure. It has to be an issue of timing and I wouldn't put out anymore than I had to for public consumption either. Who bought who when especially 5 years ago is sort of beyond my scope...

OK Dignan, so I don't get it. Here are our pals at Biogen who seem pretty adept at following up on MS opportunities. They OWN this compound, everything looks sweet and then they stop. Only somebody there doesn't really stop 'cause 5 years later they look at results again. Can you tell me what this c...

Yes, if I develop the antibodies for interferons that would be a disaster. My neuro is in the test for double dosing Betaseron which is finishing up at the end to the year. That will be my next step probably... I am not really up on the natural stuff. I hope it works for Gary...I think I would try i...
