Steroid dosage for exacerbation

Hello, I've been in remission for the past 6 years until the past couple weeks where I've experienced a recurrance of a prior exacerbation (numbness ant tingling in entire right leg). My job is very demanding and I could not get away to see my neuro, so instead went to an urgent care where they pres...

Nice to hear that others are doing well with LDN. I've also been on 4.5 mg. for 3+ years with zero disability and no relapses. Full disclosure - I also take copaxone. However, the compounding pharmacy that fills my copaxone has done surveys of their LDN patients and has found that all are doing quit...

Getting ridiculous

I've been taking LDN for 3+ years now...no progression, no MS symptoms. Unlike the approved MS drugs, LDN is cheap, safe and is proven to do no harm. Is it responsible for my long remission (I also take copaxone)? I don't know, but I don't want to take any chances either. My prescribing doc in Ohio ...

glutens/legumes vs. sat. fat

Nick, thank you for posting. I'm an infrequent poster, but avid reader on these forums. I've also spent a lot of time on DirectMS and truly appreciate the work that Ashton has done on behalf of MSers. My question to you is regarding glutens/legumes. How can you explain the results that Swank achieve...

Treatment criteria?

Hello, I'm a pretty infrequent poster, but avid reader on this forum. This revimmune treatment seems to be very promising to say the least. I was diagnosed in 2005 but had symptoms going back to 2000. Currently asymptomatic with the exception of some tingling in my legs after exercise. Would someone...

I'd tell her to stick with changing bedpans and taking blood pressure and leave the diagnosis to the doctors.

I was diagnosed positively with RRMS and had no banding. Just a couple spots on my MRI and some numbness in my leg. Diagnosing MS seems very suggestive in my opinion.

Glad you brought up this topic. The incident that led to my diagnosis 2 years ago in July followed a week of pretty intense running in the summer heat. I've had no relapses since, but running and/or lifting weights in the heat wipes me out and I avoid it. I've been walking on the treadmill and lifti...

Hang in there Frank. Symptoms are known to be more pronounced when first starting LDN. Stick with it and hopefully you will level out in a week or so. I've been on LDN 4.5 mg. for a couple years now with no symptoms or problems.

I do the same. Shouldn't effect how C works, as long as you inject in fat.

I've been on C for a couple years and think, while not perfect, it's better than the alternative immune-suppressing drugs. Also keep in mind that it takes at least 6 months before copaxone has any measurable effect. I agree with the other poster who stated that it's important to let the syringe warm...

Swollen painful glands anyone?

I've recently had a couple bouts of swollen glands with accompying dull pain - usually on one side of my neck/jaw. I did a quick google search and found that this is one possible side effect of GA. Anyone else experience this? I'm quite certain that it's not an infection since I have no other side e...

Teva/Shared Solutions studies clearly show that copaxone doesn't even start making much of a difference until the 6-month mark. After that however, it appears that efficacy continues to increase the longer you are on. However, I would think the round of steriods would provide you some protection unt...
