Re: gnawing, boring, itching sensation
Up date on this, went to see neuro pre XMAS - does not think it is trigeminal neuralgia - have to have follow up brain and spine mri. Neuro thinks possibly a new lesion on the spinal cord. As I hate the mri machine, this could take some time to follow up.

Re: gnawing, boring, itching sensation
thanks koneall - I see from google search that trigeminal neuralgia can be 'itch' - caused by the trigeminal or 5th cranial nerve in the face. As I was diagnosed with a cranial nerve palsy - this would probably fit. If it gets really bad 'again' I will go back to the pot. ...jimmylegs- glad you have...

Re: gnawing, boring, itching sensation
Hi Jimmylegs, :-D Gluten-Free-Dairy/Egg-Free Pescatarian - no dietician. Before diagnosis I was Pescatarian for approx. 20yrs - post, removed the dairy, eggs and gluten. I keep track of my symptoms - this one appeared middle of 2017. Very obvious for a few days, then eventually disappeared - but ret...

gnawing, boring, itching sensation
I'm coming up to 14yrs since diagnosis - no meds - gluten free vegan and eat fish. I can still walk 5kms without having to sit down, but can't run very well. About 1yr ago I developed this horrible annoying itching, boring, gnawing sensation on the right side of my head - just by ear - it comes and ...

having suffered stomach problems myself and also a perforated duodenal ulcer (caused by the helicobacter pylori virus) - I would like to suggest that anyone with stomach problems take them very seriously ....... and make sure your doctor takes you seriously ... if not change doctors.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis Drugs May Not Delay Disability
This article reveals the lunacy of 'most' doctors ways of thinking about this disease - the drugs don't seem to be working - but, we're just going to keep prescribing them anyway ........ I really hate this disease. When I was diagnosed 7.5yrs ago the neurologist handed me a pile of pamphlets on the...

Re: Why doesn't the pain 'remit' completely?
I had terrible burning pain in my back close to when I was diagnosed just over 7yrs ago, it seemed it would go on indefinitely - and then one day it just stopped. I tried meditation and MJ. These worked better than codeine and tramadol which did nothing - my doctors at the time were very much agains...

Re: Overwhelmed- WARNING- VENT POST
........ a holiday, what a fabulous idea ! I was diagnosed nearly seven yrs. ago. And, I am still asking myself the same questions. Though, it does seem I've decided not to go on the meds, and have chosen diet instead - for now anyway. But, that's only because my disease activity so far has 'not' be...

I had to pay extra for insurance as well - but the total was only about $330 AUD, and Australia also has a reciprocal Medicare agreement with a few countries including Italy. The process of obtaining medical insurance was made a little more complicated for me because I'd been in hospital - ironicall...

I finally made it overseas, I was diagnosed 6yrs ago and allowed my diagnosis to smother me. The diagnosis frightened me so much - that I thought that if I travelled I wouldn't be able to manage. But, 'stuff you MS!' I am finally here - I've been in Europe for 6 weeks. I've been walking for hrs and ...

If you don't feel you can manage right now - then this is the right decision to have made. But, there is always the possibility that you may feel up to it at another time. There might be an option to study part time. I completed a Masters by research degree during the time of MS diagnosis - and afte...

I just found this article on my usual look through MS news on google - and just thought 'wonders will never cease' .......... here I am - have been throwing up for 3/4 days and someone starts talking about the gut and MS. Fortunately it seems to have calmed a little. I started on a probiotic 2 days ...
