Re: For anyone flying

Regarding the polar bear cooler, I recent went to Europe for two weeks, that's six syringes of rebif. Looked for a medical cooler all over the web local business etc. read that polar bear was the best on the market. I picked one up at camper world, cost $75. Since I was leaving the next day and i co...

Re: help with a new person on rebif

Buy the big bottle of Ibu at Costco. My flu like symptoms lasted about 6 months. The reaction was really handy when I was feeling lazy. Been about 6 years since I've been able to use that excuse.

Re: Emotionally Dealing with Rebif

Well, I don't know how long gold needles will last but I have been on Rebif for about 7 years. What can I say, I still don't enjoy the shots. However, I have not had symptoms of any note in that time. Haven't really noticed those bad fevers in about 6 years and life has been real reasonable to me so...

Re: Splitting pain when injecting

I have been using Rebif for around 6 years. The only extreme pain I have ever experienced is a spot on my right thigh, seems like I might be hitting a nerve or something. Still an issue after six years. They say a little fluid leaking from the needle adds to the sting so I just move fast. Cap off th...

Re: Anyone with GOOD Experiences on Rebif??

Using 6 years. I have no complaints. The first 6 months I used a lot of tylinol to limit the fever after that it was ok. I few injection site reactions etc... no big deal... occasionally a little pain ( one spot on my leg). I have a friend who didn't use the drug when she had a chance, she can't wal...

Its your bacteria

Don't know how many of read this and I apologize if it has appeared in MS before, but it looks like they are on to something regarding what works and what doesn't for some people. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/04/110421141632.htm "In the case of a common "friendly" gut bac...

used needles

I have about 6 years in a plastic container. I break off the needle then throw them all together. Throw the plunger in the garbage. Its every injection I have ever used give or take 3 months, almost 4 gallons worth. Maybe I can use them for an art project someday or will them to my kids as some sort...

Any side effects from longterm use??

:?: Been shooting up for about 6 years now. Other then the red patches on my belly, no real side effects that I can attribute to Rebif. Has anyone read about or experienced anything that could be attributed to long term use, say 5 plus years.

Thank you both for your reply. I was taking 400 ml and tested about the same. GP recommended 2500/day. I should probably be retested to see if that is enough.

Vitamin D Studies and board members

Diagnosed 5 years ago with RRMS been a Rebif addict ever since. So far I have been really lucky.... Back when the Vitamin D info was publicized my GP had my Vitamin D levels tested and found them to be very low. I have been eating about 2500mg a day since. My question is how many board members have ...

Thanks for the replies.... No Necrois, that has its own lovely effects. I think I just went a little to low on my leg (based on the recommended injection site pictures). Never had any momentary numbness that I noticed, a little pain though. I think it's all worth it, and am just glad Ribif works.
