Re: Aubagio - Any suggestions to help with stomach issues

Hello, I was told to take the Aubagio at night to help avoid those issues. The hope would be that I would sleep through any possible side effects. I don't know if it's working, but I sleep through the night. I don't know if that would work better for your wife, but it seems to have worked for me. If...

Been LONG time

Hello. I'm Eliza. I have been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS since 2003. I had a few symptoms since 2000 but was not diagnosed until 2003. I have not had any relapses since. So why did I say LONG time for the topic? I joined a long time ago, but I have not really been talking on here and have...

Re: Infertility treatments may significantly increase MS

I did not know this. I know that being pregnant decreases chances of a MS relapse, but it does not mean no one will get any relapses. I went through two treatments of IVF and never got any relapses. I guess I got lucky. The first treatment was the basic one, and the second had increased medication a...

Re: Newbie to ThisIsMS and about to start Avonex

You probably have already started the Avonex, but I thought I'd share. I started Avonex somewhat recently. I take four ibuprofens right after the shot and I feel fine the next day. I don't feel sick. Maybe a little warn down sometimes, but it does not stop me from functioning the next day. I have al...

Re: Why did you choose Avonex?

I just started Avonex pre-filled today. I have tried Copaxone and got anaphylaxis reaction. Bad allergy, no good, had to switch. Thried Rebif. OUCHY! Mostly I had to stop because I was trying to start a family. After I had my two boys, I started on Betaseron. Not so bad on the pain level, but WOW wa...

I talked with an adoption agency about the process including how they handle people with MS. The social worker I talked to said that she has some clients with MS and it's usually not a problem. However, since it is an open adoption facility, it is really up to the birth mother on who she gives her c...

Adopting with MS

I haven't been on this site for a while. Hello everyone! :) I have a question. I may have posted on here that I've had miscarriages. I've had 5 to be exact and am now pursuing in-vitro fertilization (IVF). I haven't gotten any results back yet, and I won't for about 2 weeks on whether or not I'm pre...

Just remember, it's different with everyone. Also the depth is different in different places on the body. You have a different amount of fat in different areas. You might have more in your belly than you do in your arm or leg, for example. So the needle might work better at 7 in your belly but night...

Thanks for your responce, Lori. I had not taken the prednisone yet by the time the the reactions were really bad. I had also taken prednisone in the past for other reason when I wasn't on any other meds (pre-MS) and not had any problems either. I have now since talked to my doctor and other verious ...

Scary Reaction to Copaxone

I am currently on Copaxone and Prednisone w/famotidine (a strong prescription strength pepsid). I'm only on the prednisone to help boost my arms injury but according to my doctor the two meds together are not known to have any reactions. A bout a week ago I took my shot (I believe it might have been...

Hello, Newbie Here

Hey! My name is Eliza. I just was searching through the web and came across this site. This looks liek a nice site and with some helpful information about MS so I figured I'd join.
